The American soldiers were in a car without any Army markings and there was a misunderstanding that border fence = US/Mexico border (I actually didn't know it didn't until reading the story.) Quick check on everything and everyone went on as usual. No one showed weakness or embarrassed their country.

The vast majority of Mexican Army vehicles have pixelated camo and the words SEDENA stamped on the side. The trucks they described were dark blue. The fact that these guys had nothing on them other than a flag patch tells me they were SF. It adds up.
