>RIA
lmfao

That right round looks like it has some case setback going on.

Has anyone proven that 10mm overrides the adrenaline rush of a pissed off criminal unlike 9mm?

fuck off, avatarfag

Does anyone know if RIAs double stack 10 can hold up to buffalo bore or should I just save another grand to get something I can trust

I really want the Ruger sp101 in 10mm, 3" barrel would make a great cc piece and I'd have a cc option that shared ammo with my home defense/patrolling property gun.

Why don’t you homos buy a .44 rem mag and just shoot an actual powerful round? 10mm ammo doesn’t come loaded to spec and if you have to start reloading, then a revolver is better for different loads.

Because being able to shoot the bear an additional 6 times with comparable without reloading is pretty cool

10mm can not compete with 44 magnum. The upper end of 10mm (700ft-lbs) is on the lower end of 44 magnum. I easily get 900 ft lbs out of my 4” barrel. Secondly, bears don’t have hp like vidya

Because I want 10mm. 44 is very expensive and I'm just fine with 15 rounds of 10mm ready and 30 more on my hip. Ever watch death wish 3? I think I'd like my 10mm for large groups of targets and my .357 for a cc piece. Don't need a 44.

Are Rock Island 1911s any good? Are they good for a project gun?

Tiny guns are great but the ppk is a horrible horrible weapon aside from its aesthetics, try shooting one and you will never want to consider it as a CC

Also why are 1911s so ugly

I did shoot the Walther PPK in 9 mm kurz, nothing wrong with it, the design is outdated and doesnt not hold up to a single stack 380 glock, but never has anyone asked it to do better.

>10mm ammo doesn’t come loaded to spec

That depends on what ammo you're buying. Some is underpowered, some is "real" 10mm. Don't be an idiot and make blanket statements that are obviously not true.

shortboi edition

More than anything I want a glock 42/43 sized single stack in 10mm so I can convert it to 9x25 Dillon and carry it in my speedo at the beach.

Get the Pearce +2 for that 10mm. It makes the 29 more comfortable than my 19.

Attached: 9x25 Dillon.jpg (2594x1526, 827K)

There’s two rental RIA 1911s in FuddyFive and 10milimeme at my local range. Hundreds of thousands of rounds through them and being handled by idiots and still kicking. The other 1911s need parts or work semi frequently. Just what I heard from the range armorer. Take with a grain of salt.

>tfw no such thing as a polymer 80 Glock 29

It has a fully supported chamber and a 20 lb recoil spring, it can take it

I own a 10mm, .44 magnum, and 500 sw magnum, 10mm is a powerful round no matter what you say. Its autoloading .357 magnum.

The plinking ammo in 10mm isnt loaded hot, this is true of any caliber.

Proper 10mm is easily available in store and online, every cabelas or sportsmans I go to has buffalo bore 10mm in stock.

Revolvers dont offer any specific advantage for reloading that I can think of unless your talking rugers with their specifically strong for caliber cylinders.

+p+ 10mm loads go up to ~1000 ft lbs, +p+ 44 loads go up to ~1400 ft lbs

That's a significant difference alright, but either of these pistols will accomplish sufficient penetration against all but the largest of game, in which case youd be better served by a Smith and Wesson a-frame caliber like .460SW.

X-frame

>tfw no 10mm double stack that doesn't feel like holding a 2x4

They are quite nice, though I wouldnt reccomend them for a project gun.

Hell yeah

Unironicly, yes. And not just "good for the money." The 10mm double stacks are damned near the best thing going in best mm.

Why doesn't your whore mother stop sucking my dick?
Because she likes it.

What's up, fellow l o n g b o i s
Recently swapped out my G20 for the l o n g b o i G40. What are my best holster options?
I had been carrying the G20 in a basic bitch strong side DeSantis pancake, but... Not sure that method is l o n g b o i compatible/optimal.

I want a 40 so bad but it’s not on the fucking California roster. I wanna dual wield it with my longboi 34 in my off hand.

Very nice, howd you decide on the light?

I want to slowly torture the faggot who drew this with power tools.

10mm best cm!

It should be more effective on a hit to hit basis then 9mm in every way

Deeper penetration, more crush cavity, more temporary cavity (it will hurt far more).

Imagine a 10mm m9

Such things are not meant for the hands of mere mortals.

HOLY FUCK I NEED IT

I needed a light that could blind the blind and didn't want to pay out the ass for it. ($100 for 800 lumens)
Eventually I'll take it off and switch it out for an XC300 or whatever so I can use it with a suppressor ready holster.

Is 10mm a boomer or a zoomer round?

Because they hate innovation and making money

Neither.
Boomers like 45 AARP and zoomers like inb4 9mm
Imagine a 10mm hipoint pistol

Is the SR1911 in 10mm trash?

I wish the USP came in it

Best bet would be shield 2.0 as the .45 version is large enough

CZ had a prototype 97b in 10mm several years back that they never pushed to production

There's no SAAMI specification for +P loads in 10mm, so manufacturers won't put +P designations on their products. Are you familiar with +P 10mm handloads that won't start cracking frames? I ask because I can't even find any commercial ammunition that breaks ~800 ft-bs.

Doomer

>doesn't feel like holding 2x4

Chiappa Rhino

If you're gonna make a space cowboy gun, chamber it in a space cowboy cartridge

No, it's quite good

Swampfox ammo breaks 1000 ft lbs from a 6 inch barrel, the creator died but his load data is still out there, be careful with exactly what gun you shoot that level of 10mm from.

Underwood 155 grain xtps get ~900 ft lbs from a 6 inch barrel, they undersell the velocity of several of their 10mm loads.

Liberty civil defense is loaded well into the 800's from a longslide last time I checked.

Hell yeah, load it with liberty civil defense or Lehigh bullets for maximum space magic

I wish somebody would make some really LONG slide 10mm 1911s

Attached: maxresdefault-11.jpg (1280x720, 218K)

actually hi-point makes a carbine in 10mm.
id like a lever action in 10mm and a beretta like the other guy said. a vaquero would be cool because you wouldnt have to worry about ejection.
make me a break action pepper box revolving rifle with 16" barrels, ejectors, and somehow internal hammers. i have no idea how it would work

sounds fun, but ive heard moonclips are kind of delicate for cc. maybe a moon clip loaded in the cylinder with a speed strip on deck. do rimless cartridges work in speed strips?

Attached: 1551624541083.jpg (1200x711, 341K)

So build yourself a "G20L" -- basically the same thing as a G40, but built with aftermarket parts on a gen3 G20 frame. Or am I missing something?

I've heard it has issues with hot loads? Is this still the case?

You will probably have to replace the recoil spring with something heavier.

10mm ammo varies so incredibly much that it's almost impossible to reliably cycle every load without some form of variable gas system.

I have a Colt Delta Elite, what other best MM pistol should I get besides A G20/40 (already have plans to get a G40 before the years up).

Oh, and make sure the barrel has a fully supported chamber if you want to run maximum power ammo / reloads.

You might need an aftermarket barrel to run absoloutely nuclear loads, but this shouldn't matter for anything in the buffalo bore / Underwood realm of things.

A double stack rock island 1911 longslide is my next purchase

Attached: ria-20.jpg (1250x741, 283K)

Ordered a LW barrel and a 22lb recoil spring assembly for my G20, intending on running Underwood 220gr HCFN. Know if this will work? Plenty of people seem to say this combo feeds reliably and that LW barrels have fully supported chambers for hot loads, but I also get one or two saying exactly the opposite. Guess I'll have to rely on personal experience, since fuddlore is rampant for this kind of stuff.

10mm FNX please for the love of god

I haven't personally seen any 10mm PCCs

I have almost the exact same set up.
But my barrel is an Alpha Wolf.
The 22 lb recoil spring still flings brass across the room. Just regular S&B FMJ. It's clear that a 17 lb recoil spring is not nearly enough, if Glock also uses it in their G17.
I shoot Buffalo Bore and the Underwood 155s out of mine without issue.

Attached: EDC.jpg (2048x1152, 475K)

Imagine being this much of a handlet.

10mm is for full fledged cock sucking homosexuals.
45 super loaded to 460 Rowland specs is where it’s at.

I've run Underwood hardcast from my stock glock 40, I am confident your pistol set up will work fine.

.45 super isnt even real, its an esoteric wildcat for old fudds that tries and fails to emulate 10mm. Its literally made by like 2 ammo loaders, who wank off its power by using 6 inch longslide test guns, and it's still shit compared to 10mm from a number perspective

You have no choice in ammo variety, all you get are solid copper / lead projectiles in the 185-255 grain range (with a single 120 grain lehigh bullet that tumbles instead of properly doing its job because it's too short youtu.be/jhv0LbhNigk) .45 super hollowpoints use projectiles meant for normal .45 acp speeds, which means they will frag themselves instead of reliably expanding.

Nobody makes guns in .45 super, and all of your 1911, hk, and glock conversions are going to shoot themselves apart.

Its 45 acp +p+, but people like to larp as if it's some incredible 10mm killer because it can throw bullets that are 25 grains heavier (and 200 fps slower).

The one thing it has over a caliber like 10mm is diameter, but this has the direct effect lowering your capacity, and making your guns big, which equals out this advantage somewhat. 10mm has some loads that can expand to an inch if that's what you want.

I had a RIA for a while. It was my second 1911. I never had any problems with it. Everything functioned fine and I carried it a couple times. I never did anything super aggressive with it though

Will the Bren 10 ever make a comeback?

Attached: 500px-MV-BRE10-8.jpg (500x382, 52K)

Its called Gen X stupid

t. zoomer

Truth, Bren Ten is the GenX round of choice. Just started watching Miami Vice (older millennial) and it's fucking sad to see such amazing aesthetics in such a fantastic show and know that nothing on tv will ever be this good, ever again.

It's spoken of in hushed whispers in smokey discos under pulsing neon lights and flashing lasers. It is prophesized that the Bren Ten shall return in the days when we finally Make A E S T H E T I C S Great Again

No. It was a pretty horrid gun.

Vltor was going to make a reboot of the Bren ten about 8 years ago but it just became vaporware...

F

Was it really? I've heard mixed things about it.

What recoil spring assembly do you all use in your G40s?
I know it's pretty common practice to swap out the stock 17# spring in the G20 for 20# or 22# springs.
Same for the longslide, or do you keep it stock?
