what for?

He could answer that question, but then he'd have to kill you.

i mean he posted a bird gun does he want a bird gun or is this some meme shit

Targets mostly, maybe some hunting

don't give remington any money for anything other than an 870.

stoeger m3000

>Remington anything
Hard pass.

i thought i bought this gun as a cheap temporary duck gun, and i've trashed it, but it's never given me a reason to replace it. will shoot anything you put through it 2.75"-3.5"

did you even have to ask?

i like the 870. one gun and readily available barrels and you can easily shoot a dove, shoot a moose, and protect your home.

mossbergs are popular and will do just as well, but i'm familiar with and prefer the 870.

but this thread was about autos

Look at browning a5s

only gun i've ever gotten rid of. i was young and dumb and traded it for an SKS. i regret it every time i see another one. mine was an old original, have you tried out the new revamp?

Why the hate against remington?

i don't hate remington. i'm the same guy from admittedly, i don't have much experience with their modern autos, but i went through a lot of them in the 80's and 90's and i liked them at the time, they were so finicky with shells and the actions always felt so tinny and cheap. browning was making some sweet shooting guns at the time, so i eventually went that route.

full disclosure, i also own half a dozen 870's, 2 597's, and their ar-15 VTR

I havent shot the newer models but I've held one at my local gun store. The new ones seem to be lighter. I like the older Belgian models for their weight and ease of getting on target.

Get a mossberg 590 and get an 18" barrel for stupid shit or fun hand loads

Benelli anything

I know Benelli is good but also pretty expensive.

Franchi Affinity, basically a Benelli with a different logo on it. Franchi is owned by them so it makes sense.

Can be found for ~600-700$ new.

Browning Auto5 or Remington model 11

Had my 1100 since the 70's
rarely miss with it

Winchester SX4.

I own a remington 1100, Ithaca xl 900 and a weatherby sa-08. I haven't had any issues with any of them. The 1100 feels the best out them when shouldered. I'd recommend looking for a older 1100 or 11-87.
