Japan's F35s had major problems

Japan's F35s had more problems than previously told publicly. The crashed F35 made two emergency landings previously and other F35s too.

Thank you Chang. A rice grain has been credited to your social account.

The F-35 is the new F-104, and the only people who don’t see it are LockMart shills and fanboys.

The plane is still not found and search resources are increased constantly. Latest news is that a big US ship specialising in underwater search is joining the search. Previously U-2 spy planes have been flying in the area.

Media is already hyping up the memes of how Russia or China will try to steal the undrrwater wreckage and it's a race against time. 90% of latest news of the crash are about it.

It’ll be interesting to see what the issue is, if they ever release it. Seems to be something related to Japan’s manufacturing process, given the fact that there haven’t been similar issues with the models built in the US.

Its Asphyxiation. The problem was not fixed just hidden from public view by shills.

Soo... A really good plane if used correctly?

Japan is not manufacturing F35s - they are buying them from us.

They assembled them in the country until this January, but the one that went down was like the first or second one built in Japan.

This. Don't trust those Japs do assemble these planes. The fact that their next batch of F35s would be US made speaks volumes.

That decision was made before the crash, but given the problems documented in the article, it seems like they knew they weren’t getting the quality they needed from domestic assembly. That’s kinda surprising, given Japan’s well-developed manufacturing sector.

not surprising at all, the japanese aerospace industry is a fucking joke

>Muh Monkey model

>made for japs
this time it really is for monkeys

It is compared to America’s, but relative to most advanced economies, it’s pretty respectable. They built the F-2 domestically, which, while similar to the F-16, is a standalone aircraft. They also have a fairly successful space program. Their man launch vehicle is derived from American designs, but production and spacecraft design work are all domestic.

An industry that produces nothing but overpriced and eventually worthless aircraft does not command any respect.

>Irony lost on murilard

Eh, I’m just happy to see a country other than America/Russia/China still maintain a strong national aerospace industry. Shit’s gotten so expensive these days, most countries either buy from the aforementioned countries, or develop as part of multi-national projects.

>starting a sentence with "eh"
found the plebbitor, you need to go back

Plenty of European countries have aerospace manufacturing. You don't hear about large problems with airbus planes.

How would you express mild, but not complete disagreement?

Airbus is definitely a multinational company, though. France and (kinda) Sweden are the only 2 European countries that still domestically produce combat aircraft. Even the brits are trying to find other countries to help fund their next-gen fighter project.

>can't attack his argument
>hurrdurr reddit!!
Lel you lost buddy

I mean, he’s not wrong in the fact that Japan’s aerospace industry really had issues with severely high costs in exchange for relatively poor capability with the F-2. Still, a lot of people forget just how few countries even have an industrial base capable of building a modern(ish) fighter aircraft.

"better than nothing" sums up the jap aerospace industry, that's why everything there is so mediocre

I think “better than all but, like, 4 countries” is a bit more accurate.

LEAF

Are you implying I’m Canadian? Cause I’m one of their neighbors to the south.

Navy Girl>Army Girl>>>>>>>>>>Air Force Girl

Oh, you know Quebec isn't a real country, frog.

It's the F-2 all over again!!!

Well, they’re being smart this time and canceling local assembly before they have a whole fleet of defective aircraft.

Thanks Pajeet 5 cow sharts have been deposited into your curry bowl

But aren't the Japanese building their own stealth fighter?

Reminder that F-35 is a massive piece of shit and a suicide trap.

It has an extremly low crash ratio per flight hour, but whatever kid.

>believing this
kek

>Literally only 1 pilot fatality in over a decade of continuous flight/ testing.

You realize how many people the F-16, F-18, F-14, and F-15 killed in their first couple years of service?

You can calculate it yourself if you want to. Its no secret data.

>Knb4 its a vatnik who thinks all us planes are deathtraps and slav planes never ever crash

any idea who the japanese pilot was? like his name or something?

>France and (kinda) Sweden are the only 2 European countries that still domestically produce combat aircraft.
But that's not true.
>Even the brits are trying to find other countries to help fund their next-gen fighter project.
That's like saying America was trying to find other countries to fund the F-35 when the British paid £2bn into the F-35 development.

>I am going to spew shit all over this thread

His name, rank and flight hours were announced some time ago. Around 40 yo IIRC.

poor guy, i hope for the sake of his family they find his body so they can bury it. After the whole ww2 japanese flag ordeal i know they take that part very seriously

why is usa so worried about china getting it isreal has probably already sold the f35 secrets to china

they did it with the long range missles
