I mean it was a way to get into a reliable full cartridge rifle that you could beat up and learn the fundamentals for about a hundred bucks, and cheap ammo. That's a great choice for a first gun. Not so much the case now days though

Well I was 18 and wanted a cheap gun? I couldnt buy a handgun, and didnt want a .22. I had access to .22s and other guns and a mosin was cheap.

I think it's because they feel entitled to get back every last penny they put into a glock and can't even begin to consider the notion that their taste in a glock build might not be everyone's cup of tea. I see the same thing with ARs for sale on armslist all the time-- they can't wrap their mind around the fact that their "custom" upgrades might not be worth retail to someone else.

If you're going to do it to any gun you might as well do it to a Glock.
