I'm building my kit for real for the first time, and I'm trying to figure out what camo I should aim for. I live in the Northeast U.S. and I'm looking for a good all-around camo for all 4 seasons, or at least something that will work well for most of the year. For clothes I am currently thinking about Multicam, Ranger Green, Woodland, MARPAT, and Slocam (UF Pro stuff, pic related). Any other suggestions are welcome. Also looking for recommendations for colors of plate carriers where camo patterns are unavailable. I'm currently leaning towards Ranger Green for that. Any input appreciated. Thanks!

Camo isn't important as long as it doesn't stand out. MARPAT gear basically doesn't exist and along with woodland you're stuck with really cheap or super expensive uncommon uniforms. UFPRO stuff has too many zippers.

So I just got 2 BDU shirts in woodland, and it’s got me thinkin, what’s was operated back in the 80s, 90s, and early 2000s before more modern camos and plate carriers were standard? Unironically chicom rigs, for $20 you get six mags (two AR-15 mags fit in each pouch) and four general purpose pouches that can be used for just about anything with some minor modification.
A must have modification is to get a buckle and two tri-glides so you can just clip the back together instead of having to tie it.

The UCP program was a huge fuck up because the winner was brush style but someone decided that wasn't cool enough and used the urban pattern with a new color palette, there's an article on wikipedia: en.wikipedia.org
