Depends what you want to do with it. I own a snub and an 8 3/8" without middling about.

would you rather have a 6 inch dick or a 4 inch dick?
would you rather have a 6 inch sub or a 4 inch sub?

I don't know about other calibers, but for 357, 3 inch is the sweet spot.

6" because sight radius, half the fun of a fullsize revolver is plinking at range.

Does anyone make a trijicon rmr mount for GP-100s? Curious how much those help with precision shooting.

5 inch

I did a LOT of research back in the day when I bought my GP100. Went with 4" and you should too.

Please elaborate, that's interesting

Definitely longer my nigga

6" is more aesthetic, more precise, and has even less recoil with .38s. GP-100s are heavy as fuck, may as well get the fullsize version.

6" for .44
4" for .357

What caliber retard

7.5 for 44
6 for 357

Handled a 5 inch gp100 after I bought my 4 inch, it honestly had the best balance of the ones I handled.

...

3.5 actually sees the highest jump with most conventional ammunition, however 3" does provide a very substantial jump from 2 or even 2.5. It's more than the average 20fps per inch of barrel in any case.

8 3/8" for 44

4" for outdoor/woods carry.

3" or less for conceal carry.

4 inch, 6 just feels ungainly.

Why not both?

2" for .44
4" for .357
.44 is way more powerful, so you don't need the extra barrel length.

4" is quicker to swing, 6" is more stable when fired.

whichever points naturally for you.

22lr: requires 8" for usable velocity
