Need help for a friend

My autistic friend managed to get a patch stuck down in his M1's op rod and is throwing a conniption fit. Any ideas how he could get it out? I'm at a loss

Get a brush and push it to the bottom. Twist it around a bit then pull it out.

oil it up and flick it downward

Tape a staple to the end of a cleaning rod at an angle. Fish it out with that.

Might be dumb idea but if he has compressed air he could blow it out with a machine. All it would take would be to plug the barrel

Yeah. Came into this thread to say air compressor.

something like this, or a coat hanger or really long screw. stick it down there and twist. see if you can get the end twisted up in the patch and pull out

He has the patch where the spring goes in, only one way in. He says he has been fucking with a hanger for the past 2 hours

The compressor still might blow it out, especially if there’s a gap between the patch and the end the air can get at.

Pour a bunch of oil in there and then shake it really hard in one direction until it falls out. Might take a few minutes to get it, but it's better than buying a new gun. Either that or pour some flammable clean solvent like isopropanol, ethanol, or acetone in there and light it on fire until it can just fall out.

just fucking burn it out
jesus

stuff a bunch of pencils down it to try and push it out. it works with m1 carbine barrels

ask crow to make a hook tool for you fucking mongoloids

people that cannot into critical thinking and problem solving skills should not own firearms

suck it out

Burn it

Have him try unplugging it, then plugging it back in after 30 seconds

Stick your dick in it

Unironically throw the oprod into a fire and leave it there until it's gone.

The op rod will be ugly but it will burn the patch inside, otherwise your gonna be buying a new one which will run $80

the fire will not harm the op rod outside making it look ugly.

Google "heat treatment" and/or "annealing" before giving any more shit advice online

Try soaking the thru hole with some gasoline or non-chlorinated brake cleaner. If you are lucky the patch is made of synthetic fibers and the gas/brake cleaner will start to dissolve them a bit.

fire wont do shit to heat treat, and oP has a non working rifle and gun part at this point so even if it does it's an improvement.

Have you tried turning it off and on?

burn it out somehow, pour gas down it and light it up.

Put moths down the barrel to eat the patch

set it on fire.

Clothehanger straightened and then use a triangular file to cut barbs into it. Spearfish the sucker out.

Either that or sharpen the end of the clothehanger and wrap around a small diameter to make a corkscrew and try and get it with that.

Fucking kek

Yes this.

have you tried inserting it into your rectum?

Who cares? It won't hurt anything if you leave it there.

put ants in it, they will carry it out if you ask them.

try hammering on it at random.

Shove toilet paper down and wipe it out

throw it out and buy a new one.

Not him, but I put a patch down the oprod of a friends Garand a little while back.

The rifle will work absolutely fine with a patch down the oprod. It does not, in any way effect the function of the rifle. If it doesn't bother you, leave it in there.
