I know of an abandoned mining town called Saunders. about halfway between Rocky Mountain House and Nordegg. Its not got much left other than the frames of houses and mine carts, an old train bridge and some mine tracks that go into the hillside where a mine used to be. Pretty cool place to just wander but there's a Christian summer camp and a clearing that's popular with 5th-wheel campers so no guarantee you wont see someone.
