Gun Laws by state

Which state has the best gun laws (aka least restrictions and unlikely to change in the future) and which has the worst (practically harmful borderline illegal restrictions that are unlikely to get better in the future)?

This doesn't answer your question, but currently NM is on the very free side, but our entirely dem government just started dabbling in gun control this year with UBCs, and I can promise you they'll hit the state hard in 2021. Good thing I'll be gone

F

Literally Vermont, Maine, and New Hampshire. This make Jow Forums subhumans and their ideological sympathizers seethe to no end since those are the most stereotypically blue states in the nation

Probably Arizona, and Alaska.

Honestly this.

I'm convinced, every state should be like this.

While visiting my buddy in Az.
>Everyone open carry's, and no weird fucking looks
>Stranger comments to my buddy about his revolver while we walk out if the corner store
>Bullshited for a minute, and they ended up trading guns from their holsters
Az is pretty lax.

government in switzerland could easily turn on their citizens and take their guns away in the blink of an eye

Currently an Arizona fag. Feels good, but it's all going to shit since it's now Mexico 2.0 for real

Idaho's nice. No permits or anything. And as of July first any citizen 18+ can conceal carry throughout the entire state. Open carry is also fairly common.

Details user, what do you mean Mexico 2.0? I'm curious.

>the most white states
>the most socialist states
Suck it ebil white supremacist national socialists

Conscripts are taught how to hide weapons from government seizures.

I'm convinced, every state should be like this.

That's actually orgasmic.

Fuck yea. Alaska sounds better every day

>Citizens... more power than the feds.
I mean... wasn't the Unites States based on this very premise?
>THIS WOULD GIVE PEOPLE POWER!
>Yes and?
Huffpo is a rag, but this just seems like blatant satire to anyone who values personal liberties.

AZ fag reporting in, it's as normal to see someone open carry as it is to see someone with a bottle of water, well in my area anyway. Not only do the citizens keep themselves armed, but the police encourage people to buy guns and in my case were given step by step lessons on gun safety as well as different places in Arizona that require permits, it really is a Jow Forums paradise, except for Mexicans and the record setting heat that completely melts peoples brains turning them into automatons with melanoma.

How do they frame this to the voters?
I've always assumed it was a bunch of Mexican babushkas voting on restrictions in SW states.

What else do they do have to do all day besides annoying their kids and attending committees?

>It would tell citizens that they had more powers than the feds.

How can they possibly think that they can sell this as being a bad thing?

Church, cooking, cleaning and annoying their kids more.

They don't. People dont run on gun control here, even the Hispanic community, outside ABQ and Santa Fe, don't like it. But "if you vote Republican you're betraying your race and the Democrats are gonna help us out" is the presiding mindset. But nonetheless, gun control still gets pushed by law makers.

Iowa-Missouri here.
Missouri is absolutely good. You can open carry anywhere unless specified otherwise. No liscense or permit need to buy or carry other than a cc permit.
Iowa is shit. Permits, licenses, continuous renewal. Cant buy a gun without liscense or carry one without liscense.

Lots of grammar mistakes. Its 4am typing with only my thumb

Rhode Island here, considering what's around us, it's not bad.
7 day waiting period (And that's 7 days after, so it's actually 8 days) and you need a safety course or hunting course to buy handguns. I think full retard is completely banned, but that doesn't impact very many people anyway. Carry is Shall Issue from local police or May (No) Issue from the Attorney General, and they just closed a loophole fairly recently where the police were forwarding all their CC paperwork to the AG, so it's functionally Shall Issue. Oh, and RI doesn't recognize CC permits from any other state.

And by "course", I mean you either take a handgun safety course in any gun store and then get a blue card in the mail, or you get a state hunting license, and either of those cards has to be shown to the gun store when you buy or pick up a handgun. I actually bought my first handgun before getting the blue card, and it came in the mail three days after taking the test, so it's not super onerous.

Do they call it sounding because it makes your dick fart?

Arkansas is the overall best option as it does not border Mexico or any blue states. Being a complete flyover also ensure that no one is moving there and corrupting it à la North Texas.

They have pretty strict laws on ammunition in the Helvetic Republic.
That makes resistance harder.

I'll let you imagine how accurate that is

Ohio is quickly becoming the best state in the Union.

Not accurate at all.

>last state where there was guilty until proven innocent laws for defensive gun use
>no constitutional carry

Yeah no.

Quiet you fool were full

We are working on it. Since you seem to be in the know, you'd be aware that laws were pretty stupid here just over 10 years ago.

pa is pretty good, especially since we're surrounded by a lot of faggot states

Dont forget we also dont have faggot permits for concealed carry. If you're 21 and you're allowed to own it, you can cc it.

>Quiet you fool were full
Sorry my state's nice for now, and we need to redirect the Californians somewhere.

I love my state so fucking much.

With kasich saying he will veto any pro-gun legislation, it might be a while before shit gets better

New Hampshire
>Constitutional Carry
>No magazine or assault weapons laws
>no duty to retreat
>Maine and New Hampshire "socialist"
You're retarded

No shit? If this is true it makes me slightly less depressed.

It seems to me Arizona is the best state for gun rights, but in case that changes, what's the 2nd best?

NH bro here. While I am happy that NH & Maine are still based, I am very concerned about the future for these two states.

Attached: State Wojak NH 2.png (1220x771, 177K)

See Wrongo, bucko.

Maybe Alaska. They might even be the best along with nh.

NHfag here as well. I'm pretty spooked about what lies ahead, considering that there's been talk of red flags and shit.

Despite of the very good guns laws actually, most of the guns who have been buy after 2008 in Switzerland are registered (without way to avoid the registration, even by breaking the law). So not so free.

That Illinois number is bullshit

Alright then, what's the 3rd best? No to besmirch Alaska, but realistically, I'm never going to move out of the lower 48 states, for a lot of reasons.

Attached: index.jpg (207x244, 8K)

Wtf is wrong with Nebraska?

that's fucking awesome

Yea. I think the only ones that are accurate are the states like Hawaii where a citizen needs to register, and get permits for everything. The rests are just made up.

>I'm never going to move out of the lower 48 states, for a lot of reasons.
What state are you in now?

that's a house-bill. did it ever become law?
if so, do people now make their own MGs and shoot them?

Idaho is so overlooked. I lived there for a while, no firearm restrictions beautiful wide open could try not overrun by Mexicans.

>give citizens MORE POWER THAN THE FEDS
I need this in every state. The government has overstepped its bounds. Citizens should always have more power than the government.

It's being overrun by californians

The problem with every western state with good gun laws is that you'll slowly be taken over by invaders (Californians) and get ruined.

That's pretty much what I'm doing atm. I'm looking for an exit plan, should it become necessary. Also, putting some distance between me and my relatives would be nice.

You guys in the NH/NE Discord servers are the most Paranoid Schizophrenic individuals that I ever had the displeasure of meeting. This thread shows up every week or so. All you are going to get is a bunch of people pushing their home state. Hell most anons could move from one state to all but a handful or so and not even have to think about gun laws and how they differ. Compared to one of the states where gun control has taken heart, it is like comparing what is more white, alabaster or cloud.

What state is the worst would be a more interesting thing. I put forth my home state for this of NJ. We have here by law:
>May (really it's no) issue concealed carry permit
>Not allowed to use hollow point ammo (or really any ammo loaded with bullets designed to expand) in self defense
>Even having the above ammo loaded in magazines is intent to use, a crime
>Need to get a firearms purchaser identification card before you can buy a single gun or any pistol ammo (22lr is pistol ammo too)
>That card can takes on average of 4 months to get. Extreme side can approach a year
>Need a pistol permit per pistol you want to get
>To get a pistol permit you have to go through practically the same process as the FPID, including the wait times
>Pistol permits only good for 90 days from date of issue (at chief of police's will it can be extended another 90 days, once)
>Only allowed to buy one pistol per month
>There is an AWB, it matches what the federal gov put in place in 94
>Mag limit of 10, with no grandfathering of older mags
On the cultural side:
>A Governor who has made gun control one of his core issues (can you say more gun control on it's way)
>If you use a gun in self defense, you will be treated as the bad guy by anyone with any power
>A state that is controlled by the gibs voters
>Courts that have only once recognized the Heller ruling once

but...

Oklahoma is based too. economy is not bad and the east west coasters refuse to move here. sometimes it pays to be backwater

Vermont is getting cucked by out-of-staters bad, have a cousin there born and raised and he's PISSED. Maine is no mans land, almost anything goes. I live in NH and the peace of mind I have is second to none. We're getting more lax by the year but I don't see it lasting too long.

NJ should just get nuked.

ME fag here; Mills and Southern Maine in general will be the death of this state. Red flag legislation, no stop to "refugees" being imported, Masshats resettling in Portland and voting in their shitty progressive politics. Give it a decade or two and I can foresee ME turning into a state similar to NY where one city's voting bloc overrules the rest of the state.

moving to cali soon, how should i hide my guns as i dont plan on registering them

>Arizona
>Right next to California
>Being overrun by mexicans
Yeah, not for long.

this is the stupidest shit i have ever read

alaska then florida

step one: take you guns...

Fuck you Nevada nigger.

The concealed carry laws might just get that soon. Look at Rogers v Grewal (it's currently being kicked about by the SCOTUS), it is about NJ's "may" issue system.

On a fun note about that our AG referenced tradition as a reason and cited an old law written by the literal mafia (to keep their competitors from carrying a gun) as a reason why it is valid.

Hide them in your mosque, or in the kitchen of your mom.
