Sexy

Slightly off topic but what are the odds you can actually get a good deal on gunbroker trawling penny auctions and the like?

I've been able to get pretty good deals on gunbroker but never with the penny auctions. It's usually the ads that somehow nobody notices except maybe one guy who bids on it early and then forgets about it so you can snipe it.

Examples? I really want to get some obscure guns, like old 32 acp pistols or something but all good milsurp is overpriced as fuck

Sad

What's the problem here?
Frog here, FAMAS were declined in 3 variants:
-the select-fire version, for military only
-the MAS .223, semi-automatic from the factory, only a dozen were ever made
-the MAS .222rem for civilians, semi-automatic from the factory, approx 1000 were made and were sold without licencing up until the gun laws of 1995

So this isn't a FAMAS but a MAS. Not sure if it's a real, original 223 chambering or not.
There is one guy selling a MAS 223 on our gun trade forums for 8000€.
The MAS 222 usually go for about 3 to 4k.

Most recently I got a new LMT Enhanced BCG (which usually goes for $299 by itself) and new Colt carrier (which go for around $120) for $205 total. Minimum bid was $200, some guy bid the minimum days before it ended. Right before it ended I went $205 and got it. I'm not hardcore into milsurp so I don't know how much harder it would be. All I can say is the common auction advice of be patient, persistent, and don't get into a bidding war. With gunbroker, just accept that you're going to wade through tons of overpriced items.

>NOT Valmet Galil Pe57 Hk Sig550 Dragunov
god i want this cancer to die

Aaaaand bid.
Oh shoot, I didnt hit the reserve.

so much this
the reserve is unironically over 10,000. such fucking cancer, just no reserve or start the auction at the lowest you'll take, moron

You think we'll ever get surplus FAMAS' when the frogs switch rifles?

>such fucking cancer
I also really hate the "If you are new to GB I will block you until vetted." this shit should really be against the rules on gunbroker. it's enough of a pain in the ass just to be able to bid on there.

I don't think you quite understand the message I'm trying to send here.

Nice. I end all my max bids with 69 cents.
Penny auctions are great at getting people interested and feeling competitive. They seem to inflate the price. I've noticed that a good way to get slightly cheap prices are to be the first bid when the starting bid is approximately 3/4 of a fair value for the gun.

This. Especially because a lot of sellers won't leave feedback

>someone outbid me
You are like little baby, watch this

Why would you faggots want a broken gun.
The seller already #OneLess'd it.

Not to mention it shat explosive diarrhea all over that nice skin rug. Who'd want a gun that's already shit the bed?

Is-is that a FAMAS?

Penny auctions? Probably not.
That said I've found some total steals on gunbroker.
Unicorn configurations of common guns, extremely high quality custom built rifles that were barely used, etc.

The man set the reserve pricing absurdly high, in a past auction he had reserve at $40k.

We couldn't even get them ourselves as legal gun owners/sport shooters so don't bother.
The government would rather let them rot in some warehouse somewhere than be seen selling their small arms to civilians.

nice
