I'm truly impressed with the brace. If shot AR's with a lot of different braces. I have a Sidewinder on my Anderson RF85 AM15 pistol. It's hard as a rock, but because of the low recoil of 5.56, it's fine for extended shooting. Same for an old KAK blade brace.

No WAY would I try either of those in a 12g shotgun!

This S.O.B. braces is softer rubber, and also flexes very well. If you put the bottom of the brace against your shoulder, it flexes where those two down bars are. It really does absorb a lot of the recoil.

Not yet. I'm gonna knock the gloss back a little with some super fine 0000 steel wool. Not crazy about the high gloss on the Tru-Oil.

Mine was an OG poly shockwave. Besides the wood that comes on the new ones looks like plastic garbage.

DESU I have a wood birdshead I can throw on there whenever I want but I enjoy the hoodrat/bootlegger/biker aesthetic it has now just looking like a chopped stock and teebeeaitch it's ergonomically identical to a birdshead anyway.

I'd like it a lot better if it was gloss blued instead of flat. That Mossberg flat blue finish really pics up knicks & dings.

Here's my next project. A reshaped raptor grip with an end cap that resembles an elingated pistol grip stock mod. Instead of screwing the grip onto the back, I'm gonna try blind bolting it from the inside so there's no huge gaping hole in the back.

Gotta keep the 26" length, but it should be sweet.

I found a flat mag cap on ebay that looked like it would fit. It did. Then I bought a bunch of different tiny bike lights. The one I used is rechargeable and the electronics are all epoxied, so it's both shock and waterproof. Then, I used JB Weld to stick it to the cap.

200 rounds and it's still working fine. My sons use the same light on their mountain bikes here in the Adirondacks. It's a tough little light.
