i wish they would have considered improvements to the way the upper/handguard/barrels attach. i know the AR industry standardizing on anything new with that is unlikely, but i still think there is significant room for improvement in the AR design in that area and that the subject atleast deserves a video discussing it.

My objection was with the bipod in principle, theres no indication Stoner though there were a good idea for a service rifle, considering none of the ~6 distinct service rifles he designed featured one. The fact they ultimately chose a Harris of all things (over the preferable alternative of nothing at all) is just another layer of absurdity.

Hardly. Material, munition and furniture changes do not a new gun make. LR300s, T91s, MCXs and 416s are drastically different in certain aspects but still ultimately ARs.

I agree with that, but if you start changing things like the fundamental nature of the barrel nut and how the handguard/foreend attaches to the reciever then I don't think you can really call it an AR anymore.

I don't know about the WWSD as a military rifle. Ian and Karl seem to be missing some of the realities of combat, might be good for SF.
However, it seems like a great idea for a hunting rifle if you chambered it in 6.5. I plan on building one pretty soon.
