nothing because its shit

all of them because its good

I wouldn't even think of buying that garbage. Why would you?

patrician choice would be a 55gr at lowest $0.23 and a 40 rounds of 77 SMK.

Assuming you didn't fall for the rarted SBR meme

26-28cpr is best. Really though, you should only stock up on a small quantity of greentip. It's less accurate, and does tissue damage on soft targets. It's only use is armor penetration.

Really, you should be stocking up on 69gr SMK. Or failing that 77gr. If you're a poorfag and can't afford those, get Wolf Gold 55gr.

Yeah.

thousands of M193 clones and hundreds of 77 SMK

Assuming someone hypothetically did fall for the SBR meme and bought an AR with a 10.5" barrel what would be a good load to shoot with it.

PIcture unrelated.

77 smk

Yeah I'd stop thinking about buying ammo and instead start unfucking your shit

how can you even get your face low enough to see through that red dot?

Can anyone ID the pants?

Not a shill. I just like people buying lots of ammo because nothing is sadder than seeing someone go to the range once every 2 or 3 months with three 20rd boxes of ammo that cost them $14 each and attempt to "train" with 2 whole mags.

As of 2019, anything under $0.30 per round is good, ESPECIALLY if that's after shipping and tax/theft. Use ammoseek, wikiarms, ammograb (also gun.deals, reddit gundeals, etc.) to get an idea of prices. I just bought 1200 rounds of Federal LC M855 from PSA today bc they have 120rd mini ammo cans of the stuff on sale for 27.5 cents per round, plus free shipping if you buy 3 cans or more. $32.99/120rds of LC M855.

(I also got a bunch of Federal XM193 55gr too. $39.99/150rds.)

Sales are important, but shipping costs can really make a difference. A lot of the cheapest prices are from online shops that charge a lot for shipping. Many times you can save more money by paying a little more for the ammo and less for the shipping. Don't forget to google promo codes for the site you're thinking of buying from -- most of the best online ammo sellers don't offer promo codes for the ammo you want to buy very often, but when they do it can be pretty amazing.

Lastly, if you want to be a real pro at buying ammo as cheaply as possible, look for ammo sales at larger outdoor retailers. Their ammo sales aren't usually as good as the regular prices of the best online ammo dealers, but you can do the discounted gift card trick and often use a promo code to get ammo criminally cheap...

She has two Right feet.
Weird

Good ammo advice.
SG is my usual online vendor or PSA with the magazines included.

...For example, Cabela's had a sale not too long ago on Winchester 9mm NATO - $8.79 for a box of 50 rounds. That's pretty goddamn good. I calculated what it would cost to buy like 1600 rounds at that price, including sales tax. I then bought enough discounted Cabela's e-gift cards for like 10.6% off to cover that price, and searched for promo codes. I ended up paying something like $7.80 a box including tax and got it shipped free. It makes a big difference when you're buying 32 boxes of ammo.

This method takes a little more time and thought, but it can make ammo (and guns and optics) really, really cheap. Using a sale plus a discount gift card plus a promo code a friend of mine got a new S&W M&P Shield for under $200, and I got a Vortex AMG UH-1 with a QR mount for under $300. There are various online discounted gift card resellers (Raise, Cardpool, RetailMeNot, etc.), and you can view card prices for most of them on the giftcardwiki, which is kinda like ammoseek for gift cards.

Lastly-lastly, save up for brick-n-mortar Black Friday week ammo sales. Blain's Farm & Fleet had $4 off all rifle ammo last fall, which made 20rd boxes of LC made Winchester 5.56 M193 like $4.45 each -- $0.22/rd! (I bought out 2 stores, lol -- 40 or 50 boxes.) Mills FleetFarm had 200rd boxes of Winchester .380 ammo for $32 (I bought 6 for a friend who has a .380).

But yeah, Palmetto has the best LC M855 deal going right now, esp with free shipping.

m855 is never worth buying.

better penetration, against all targets, versus m193.

Hi retard, that's not how it works.

Hi retard, that is exactly how it fucking works. That is literally all it was designed for. And it fucking does it.

M193 penetrates body armor which will defeat m855. There is no reason to ever, for any reason, in any circumstance, use m855. Unless it was issued to you. In which case, sucks to be you.

M193 has better penetration then m855.

No it wont, and m193 absolutely doesnt have better penetration. Post any proof. It was designed to fix m193's penetration and it did.

You just keeping saying the round with a penetrator, that was designed and tested to penetrate better than m193 doesnt, but you haven't posted any fucking proof.

I see you know literally nothing about the subject. Why bother posting?

>m193 absolutely doesnt have better penetration
It absolutely does, especially from a 20"

M193 from a 20" will fuck you up and even penetrates level 3 hard armor because it's going so fast.

Just buy steel cased 55gr. I only shoot Silver bear. Shits great.

Out of a 20, yeah, but not all of us have 20s yet. If I had a 16 inch, would I still be getting superior performance out of 193 as opposed to 855?

Kek, nice catch

Reminder that there's literally no reason to shoot M855 through a barrel shorter than 20".

The answer is yes. Always buy M193

Unironically this.

M855 is just a bad idea.
Buy one of these three things:
>M193 steel cased, or brass if you have autism
>70+gr HP defensive loads (TAP, brown tip, etc.)
>mk. 262 match loads

This is pretty good advice. Never pay a premium for green-tip. I usually buy my factory ammo m193-ish and stock up on 69 and 77 grain SMKs anytime i see them on sale for reloading.

Unless you're taking your Minimi to some kind of long-range steel-helmet-shooting competition, this.

The majority of ARs today are not 20" though

FPBP

i was about to post this.

honestly i want an answer

Also, use brickseek to search local Walmart inventories. Individual managers are allowed to set sale prices, so some ammo deals are fucking unheard of. AND Walmart stores change their prices in their inventory system before they change the shelf tags, so using brickseek you can find sales before anyone knows about them.

A local Walmart just sold out of 420rd ammo cans of Federal LC M855 for $66.62 each. That's less than $0.16 per round. (Christ, it's less than cheap 9mm ammo.) Works for guns, too -- I know a dude who got a new .22 for $50.

Is 2000rds a good stockpile of M855 if I already have 3000rds of other 5.56 ammo?
