balanced recoil system.
But it probably won't work for such a large caliber.

more springs

by passing gas

could gyros be used to reduce recoil ?

Any gyro powerful enough to meaningfully reduce the recoil impulse on a high calibre rifle is going to make it very slow and tiring to aim, plus be pretty heavy and need a sizable powers ource.

Add more weight to it.

eat it.
silverware is optional but recoil is traditionally finger food.

I didn't know they made the M17S in fiddy cal. Neat.
Anyway, with something like that the best solution is probably to add weight. You could make it so the gun can have two ammo cans attached to it once you're set up, that way your spotter can carry half the weight of your gun.

There's a good reason why most fuckoff big guns have a long recoil system, and it's so you don't have to make workarounds for shit like this.

Honestly I want more balance recoil systems, the only downside is the weight because you need another mass of the same weight as the bolt moving the opposite direction

Stop being a pussy

Stuff your empty "buffer tube" with lead shot in Silicone. Add Fab defense gl shock springy thingy. Put a limbsaver pad on it. Shoots like 30-06 durr gun but louder.

This is the proper answer.
Using the pressure from the gas system to also reduce the projectiles recoil.
There a few complications with this system of course but im sure you will share them with us.

Barrel in magnetic levitation

weaker bullets

Won't reliving gas cause a loss in energy for the projectile?

Not if you relive the gas at the end of the barrel, similar to a muzzle break.

>attach a thin steel rod on both sides of the gun going the entire length of the gun
Or just have rails and have a solid tungsten foregrip

Add a mercury recoil suppressor.

make the gun heavier

Have the gun fire another projectile with equal force out the back of the gun.

Semi-newtonian fluid

Make everything .22lr

>reduce recoil
Do you mean like the AR-15 inline piston where the only recoil is directly backward with no tilt, or like you're shooting a big gun and it's hurting your shoulder?

ligher loads, muzzle breaks, heavier gun. There's your options.

Introduces inheirent inconsistency which reduces accuracy.
