I used these exact things to recrown my guns. It worked great, but I also already had a crown started in the first. Hes going to be starting from a flush surface, and that might not work well on something that isnt recessed.
Then again, he could just bevel the very end of the bore and leave the rest of the crown flush. Some MAKs/NHMs went that route.

I really want confirmation if that Europoor bought a Pioneer Arms AK and put an AK47 stock on it

Looks like my rear sight leaf is slightly canted, but the good news is the block itself is aligned properly. Should I leave it alone, try to fix it by hand, or just buy a new rear sight?

If it doesn't affect how you shoot, leave it. Less of a chance that the "fix" makes things worse.

I'd replace it with a new one. Is this the original or one you bought afterwards?

Ignore this retard

That would drive me insane, personally. Fuck just looking at that picture is bugging me.
Like a tilted picture frame.

Where can I cop this stock and does it work with the latch?

So arsenal is the best I can do if I don't want to fuck around on the secondhand market?

who is this?

You must be new here

Alright, so I’m stepping into the AK world after being an AR guy for years. I bought one of those Izhmash parts kits off of rguns (pic related is what they show on their site), and I plan on using a Childers receiver. To keep the end product 922r compliant, I was planning on swapping out the fcg, using a US made slant break, and of course the receiver would count as apart which gives me five components. After doing some research though, I guess I’d need six altogether.

Is there a US made barrel that doesn’t suck ass I could use, or is there an easier component to swap out that my research hasn’t lead me to? I’m hesitant to use different furniture because I want to keep it as original looking as possible, and I’d ideally like to not have to worry about autistic shit like swapping out magazine floor plates and followers if I can help it. I can settle though if it looks like it be a pain in the ass to do another route. Thanks for reading my blog

The original

Any recommendations for a new rear sight? It’s a Polish gun but all the Polish ones are out of stock

>caring about 922r
Use a romanian barrel and own 1 (one) US made mag that you totally keep in at all times.

Use a Polish barrel from AOA.

I like my adjustable RPK sight for the lines underneath

i am. who is it?

First AK, should i go 5.45 or 7.62?

Base pilled and blacked

You can still find some new vepr's out there. They're worth digging for, if you want quality.

Thanks, I’ll keep looking and figuring this out. I’m assuming most US made AK components are still absolutely dog shit compared to their Eastern European counterparts? The idea was that I would build this rifle over the course of a few months/year when I had the spare money and a better living situation, so I don’t mind giving every component serious thought before buying

Go for .223. 5.56 is too expensive and designed to wound whereas .223 was designed to kill from the ground up

5.45

Why are you this way?

but 5.45 is dead meme and will run out of usa, better get 5.56mm ak, like ACE

Bold of you to try and build right from the get go, unless you’re sending it out somewhere to be built.

Attached: A76F1517-5411-437D-93EE-B0CD0638EAD0.jpg (1000x1333, 858K)

get a 7.62. most AK's in 5.56 are way too expensive, you can get decently priced AK's in 7.62, plus ammo's fairly cheap.

What's the point of buying an ak for aesthetics if not for either the Eastern bloc conscript aesthetic or the African militia man aesthetic

If I had the tools I would have tried it myself, but I think I’m going to have it built once I gather all the parts. Since I have a lot coming up in the near future, it’ll probably be awhile before I can get it sent out anyways so I’m not on a time crunch to get it done. I just don’t know who does the best work for the price, so I’ll have to look into that when I can

I need an adjustable stock that's has a LOP of at least 14" so I'm getting a UBR with a buffer tube adapter. How dose /akg/ feel about my decision?

Attached: MAG482_BLK_2.png (815x815, 289K)

no one gives a fuck what you

>AR stock on an ak
trash. Enjoy your ridiculously high cheek weld and extra weight

The cheek weld is no higher than the buffer tube which will sit almost exactly where the comb of a straight wood stock would be.

Is the MFER is only real good option for a lightweight mag funnel?

Attached: NIK_0708.jpg (800x560, 65K)

nope. I've tried AR stocks. They sit like a half inch higher than milspec AK stocks. Buffer tubes are flat, AK stocks dip down below the boreline.

7.62 always

UBR stocks look cool but they’re heavy af.

PBS sights are pretty great.

Attached: 1472920052261.jpg (2236x2236, 1.11M)

You can't be this retarded

Those are viable aesthetics. I've never seen wood and plastic be well received here, only wood and metal

No it isnt. It's close but still slightly higher, which makes a world of difference when ADS.
Look at the comb of a stock and you'll see it falls directly in line with the top of the receiver (like a triangle folder). The buffer tube itself will follow this line too, but that's literally the buffer tube only. Once you put furniture on you're raising your view with it.

Or you could not be handicapped

>implying specials forces around the globe are handicapped

Attached: image29.jpg (768x513, 174K)

>he says, posting an AR
Haha what

Who remembers that autist from a few years ago who would constantly slide this thread with the same fucking military pictures?

>dirtbag

yeah, with the occasional memeball tier Russia shit

Ahahahaha I forgot about that. Truly different times

Was pretty sure it was vince.

How do I get pic related?

Why have that surefire on a quick disconnect mount if you can’t use it without the pressure switch? You know they make end caps with both a pressure switch cable port and a push button, right?

Cause the QD isn't so I can use it as a hand light?

Then why bother having it on a quick disconnect mount if you’re not going to take it off?

>saw an NPAP for $499 at local pawn shop
Just got a job so hopefully I can snag it soon. I had one back in like 2014 but I didn't like it.

Cause I do take it off
Just not for that reason

>rifles

At this rate I'm gonna be done before you

wood furniture or rails and plastic

>all arsenals gone everywhere except some pistols at buds

Fuck me

it’ll stay that way for years to come. they’re not that great anyways.

Guess you’ll just have to start buying American made

Recommend me a good ak.

Psak gf3

The dude looks like such a fat smooth brain

Attached: 1555994422190.png (499x499, 115K)

just get a wasr, no american crap, no saiga, no kits, no yugo, just get a wasr.

Anyone here try the PUFGUN mags? both the 30 rd AKM mags and the 60 rd 5.45 mags are interesting me right now

I thought century was trash.

Century is trash but Wasr is fine if its not one of the ones they butchered

Attached: IMG_0092.jpg (2264x3023, 1.64M)

They are pretty much tapco tier

So reliable but not durable?

Fuck off AKG and last posting me
Anyways
So in my wasr eplaced the Shepard's crook with the retaining plate, but now the two pins feel losser then the should be. Its installed correctly
Not sure they will fall out just by normal handling but I'm concerned that firing will cause the gun to fly apart now. What do?

Attached: 20190428_133856.jpg (2560x1440, 1.31M)

If you actually installed it correctly, then the pins literally cannot move.

My guess is you’re just retarded.

Converted saiga 7.62

Attached: 20190419_212014.jpg (4160x3120, 2.83M)

Please rate my vz

Not an ak/10

there are no good aks. the wasr is one of the least shit ones though.

leaf/10

Just bought this style of side folder for my MAK. I'm determined to make it more modern and get rid of the bumhole stock.

Attached: DSC01467 (1).jpg (800x600, 41K)

>Converted
>no handguard retainer
>stock gas tube
>no threaded fsb
wdhmbt

Partially converted*

>no good aks

Deffine good desu like what do you mean? Mine work great

I was just mouthing off, they can kill people at 300 yards. they all just seem to have finish problems, canting, weird gas tube issues, kinda shitty cartridge choices, and meh ergos. even the $1400 ones. all this shit would be unacceptable at modern prices for other rifles. these are designed to let conscripts protect tanks moving into West Germany from AT infantry in a 200 yard radius, but we ask much more than that from them and get pissed when it doesn’t happen
