You mean a laser?
but could we invent a bullet that travels at C - 0.00...1 MPH?
Look up the triple neck terror round.
In theory, but good luck finding:
>Anything capable of propelling mass at that speed
>Any material capable of handling that speed
JUst use electromagnets to propel it and make it out of platinum (the strongest metal).
>electromagnets
This guy never heard of mass effect fields.
Theoretically speaking it's possible, but realistically speaking it's impossible to contain the fusion-bomb-tier energies you would need to rapidly accelerate a projectile to relativistic speeds.
This is a really rudimentary calculation since I never took physics past high school, but if we were to get a particle as light as 0.01 milligrams to travel at even a tenth the speed of light, and we assume 100% of the energy generated is kinetic energy, the gun would need to generate about 4.49e6J (3.31e6 foot-pounds) of energy; for reference, according to Wikipedia, "a 180-grain (12 g) bullet fired from .357 magnum handgun can achieve a muzzle energy of 580 foot-pounds force (790 J)"
>platinum (the strongest metal)
But that's diamonds.
And with the recoil, you'd probably end up on mars.
Laser beams are more likely pal
>diamonds
>metal
umm
that's why we build our very own death star
>he failed high school science
I thought the strongest metal was Dragonforce?
diamonds are not a metal
This is bait, right?
are you fucking kidding me?
what's next, the sky isn't blue? retard.
dumbass
You misspelled gloryhammer
>Guldan
basically just stand in the large hadron collider
Yes, diamonds
projectiles traveling at even a fraction of the speed of light colliding with something would be insanely devastating. Go read about RKVs, aka Relativistic Kill Vehicles.
Why live ?
We already have
