He means that they're both set in Africa. They're very different though. I love Far Cry 2, and spent tons of hours in it, but it does have it's flaws because it is so much older. MGSV has more polished gameplay, but I just wish that the japs left out all that weird bullshit and stuck to just mercenary stuff.

Kojima has been fucking up since mgs2.
Mgs1 and mgs3 were the only good games and that's because mgs1 had someone overseeing his work with a great localization team and mgs3 was a reaction to the outrage of mgs2.
Kojima given carte blanche just makes nonsensical garbage like most japanese creators viewing the world from their tiny homogenous island. He's the george lucas of video games.
