Preparing for 2020

so obviously the (gun) market is going to get nuts in the run-up to 2020, and potentially for at least 4 years after that

what do you have now that you did not have at this time last year? will you have everything you want 18 months from now? what do you think the market will look like as we approach 2020?

In starting to build AKs, and I'm getting into 3d printing/my mill will be here next week. Buying is for plebs.

Where do I get bags like that?
I have stuff I need to bury for a rainy day.

no idea, that's from colt's factory in 2006

content.time.com/time/photogallery/0,29307,1947490_2012384,00.html

I’m trying to get into reloading, the amount of magazines and ammo I have should hold me over for a while if SHTF but I want to prepare for any infringement on ammunition that might happen

I saw them on cheaperthandirt awhile back, but they're kinda jews, desu. But I'd search for vacuum seal rifle bags. Surely someone makes them new.

I've been thinking about this a lot. I'm all about quality over quantity. I'd rather have a few well-built and reliable guns, then dozens of cheaper/questionable quality guns. I'm fairly happy with what I already own and at most I may grab a Mossberg shotgun between now and the next election. The things that will become scarce and/or overpriced during this election cycle will be anything AR and AK related, as well as any striker-fired 9mm handguns and their associated parts. Prioritize getting those sooner rather than later. Pump-action shotguns, lever-action guns, break-open guns, etc can wait as those wouldn't be immediately effected by a Democrat controlled congress 2021 and beyond.

I'm stocking up on ammo and mags, and exercising every day (I try to lift and run at least 3 miles a day). I may also get a plate carrier and some more lowers.

>what do you have now that you did not have at this time last year?
Well I finally bought a red dot optic and put together my 2nd AR (I bought 2 receivers 4 years ago and built one AR then let the other sit in my closet unassembled for years).

>will you have everything you want 18 months from now?
I need to buy more 5.56 ammo and maybe some more 9mm. I also need more reloading supplies -- I need to get all my brass deprimed / cleaned and take stock on how many bullets, jugs of powder, and primers I have. Might pick up some more magazines for a few guns if they go on sale.

>what do you think the market will look like as we approach 2020?
Who knows, it'll depend on who's in the race and what kind of rhetoric they're using. I really need to put my PSL build together and get it ready to sell if people start going crazy and prices spike for everything. Might sell my FNAR as well because I'd rather have an AR-platform .308 instead of that proprietary nightmare gun with no aftermarket and $50 magazines.

lmao this nigga actually thinks shit is going to go down in 2020

Some buddies and I got a 5d jig and then share it so we can make our own 80%. Stock up now for when they try to scare people over ghost guns and shut down the market.

>he thinks there won't be blood
Libs are madder than a wet hen over 2016. You think they won't be doing everything they can to punish those who have defied them?

>madder than a wet hen

oh, you're a boomer.

Finishing up my new 3D printer, got Warfairy files, planning on buying a couple of barrels for stuff I want.

I'm not sure they understand what that means, though and I'm curious to see how it plays out.
>Lib screech and burns some shit down
>Right takes this and just utterly breaks
>War to the knife, knife to the hilt
>Libs: waitno
Or nothing, who knows. Either way, I'm at half mast.

by doing what? burning their own cities like last time?

I'm thinking about buying a drill press to make a couple of lowers out of 80%s myself. What's the best dummy-proof kit with a jig you can get?

Those are called "VCI bags" or "VCI plastic". That blue plastic is impregnated with chemicals which are slowly released in order to prevent corrosion. It's like a much cleaner version of cosmoline, except it doesn't last as long. They're pretty cheap, and it's always good to have some of the stuff around, we use it at work all the time.
You can buy them in any industrial supply shop or amazon/ebay.

>by stuffing the ballots with the votes of illegals and dead people
>by arresting anyone who speaks out against them as a Russian agent
>by subpoenaing the memberships of gun rights groups and branding them as "potential domestic terrorists"

I did the 5d jig with the fittings for ar 10 and ar 15. Then picked up their recommended DeWalt router. Still waiting for a free weekend to try it but check out the 5d jig on YouTube, it looks pretty idiot proof.

None of that worked last time, why would it work now?

This isn't exactly wrong

Look around at some lefty websites, these people absolutely hate anything to the right of marx and they're perfectly okay with killing you off because free speech is violence or something.

Stop making this fucking thread. Even if it was on topic, we don’t need two of them a day, every single day.

>Antifa
Come back when they can shoot a rifle without braking down into tears

Because libs covet power Uber Alles. They will wipe RBG's shriveled buttcrack with the Constitution and the rule of law, all in the name of "our democracy". You heard it here first, sonny boy.
I once subscribed to the Washington Post, actually paying money, just to shitpost in the comments. Those comments convinced me that liberals really do personally hate my guts and want me lynched for not obeying them.

>Cobra Commander

>RBG
Because 20 Faggots that can't hold a 10in group at 100 yards is a threat.

I have also seen WaPo readers say that they were afraid they were going to be killed in a road rage incident because a car that cut them off (or that they cut off) had an NRA sticker.

Remember that they consider us extremists for merely being assertive about our rights.

>tfw you'll never be able to be a GI Joe villain

>implying youre any good in “building”
You must be white

This is why I cry every day. Thanks for reminding me.

My concern is that they have widespread support and sympathy from the mainstream left. We've already seen disproportionate sentencing between people like prof. bikelock and rightwing demonstrators.

>they were afraid they were going to be killed in a road rage incident
you should always be afraid of getting killed in a road rage incident, but not from a gun. I work with an ME and I've seen a guy after he got beat to death by a manhole cover
Shit, you should always be afraid of getting killed on the road period. Behind heart attacks, cancer, and infections, dying in a car is the fifth most likely thing to kill you.

>disproportionate sentencing
this is the quickest way to radicalize everyone you're trying to persecute.
when you can't depend on the justice system to compel people to adhere to the laws, citizens start taking the laws into their own hands. I don't think these people realize the type of fire they're playing with.

Ah, ok. I didn't realize 5D Tactical was the company. Watched their video, looks super easy. Thanks for the recommendation.

All the same, they think owning a gun casts a black magic spell on you that makes you an unhinged lunatic. Some woman from Hahvahd actually published something saying that.

I still don't see them as a threat. The more the justice system shows its bias the bigger the risk of a judge suiciding himself with 13 shots to the back of the head and the bigger support for judicial reform from the populous.

And if the left is retarded enough to try to go for a civil war they will lose.

''Mexican cartel associate known as Cobra Commander''
Never heard of this cunt, if he's supposed to be a Lieutenant, he's unknown, becuase the big fishes and nedium fishes are known here in Mexico

Could just be some regular dude that thought they looked easy to scam

nothing wrong with lifting and running

even if nothing happens in 2020 that user will be healthier and fitter than if he didn't run and lift

>underestimating the enemy
this is how you lose a war m8

Mass is totally fucked east of 495

>Thinking anyone is scared of the faggot brigade and their airshit rifles
Go back to your hole discord tranny.

I was gonna getva shitty plastic jig for 80 bucks and then someone on this board showed me the light. Go big and you won’t regret it. 400 for the jig package, (split 3 ways in my case), totally worth it.

Or actually have enough real rifles. Half of them show up with guns that are obviously airsoft.

because theres more illegals, dead people, and legal immigrants who are all going to vote blue than in 2016

Not worry because I'm Canadian and we will have a concervative government next election.

Half Canadian here, mother's side of the family has a large presence in Montreal. Any chance of another "return home" thing but a hair looser?

It won't kick off then, but you have to be pretty dumb to think that panic buying won't drive prices up substantially.

>panic buying boomers for jewing people practicing their second at the same time pushing laws to ensure their investments go up in price
Vs
>preparation buying and getting Jow Forums

>will you have everything you want 18 months from now?
I will never have everything. At least until they invent a rifle that does not run out of ammo.

Québec is now enforcing a gun registerey. They have the strictest gun laws in Canada (to be fair they're the only provence with different laws than the rest of Canada.)

>Thinks he knows when shit is going to go down
hehe he....No

Don't fall for this blue plastic bullshit.
Just get heavy thick +4mil plastic bags, put your gear in, all metal firearms in one bag with good layer of motoroil on the metal. Throw a couple big desiccates in there and seal the bag. put other gear in separate bags(ammo should be divided into multilple bags each with dessicates) - idea is so that id one fails, you have back ups.. Now, you need a plastic 55 gallon drum with press lid and clamp, dig a hole to put that in, put 1" stone at base and surrounding, drum. If you really want to be safe, you can place a smaller drum like 9-25 gal drums with screw tops within this big 55gal drum with dessicates in all areas. Seal the threads of the drums with silicone grease. Before you close the press lid on 55-gal drum, put a couple layers of the +4mil plastic layer on top of the rim, place the lid (their should be a rubber ring on lid) than the clamp- should be air tight. Few more layers of plastic on top of the lid of drum and then rocks and dirt to cover. The tip of the drum should be just below the frost line, depends on your location (say 12"-20" from ground level.) Plant grass of flower seeds above your cache as the roots will absorb water. No crazy big plants/trees as you will have to chop roots with time.

to clarify, the stone itself is up to 1" in size but you should do a few inches of the stone at base of drum, about 4-6" and like 2" surrounding.

Cringe

Don't get me wrong son, this isn't dipshit end of the world prepper bullshit. This is my storage and backup cache for when I'm on the run from the law, I'm a "legit" criminal.

ghostguns are the future

worst case he's Jow Forums as fuck while you're still a lard ass.

Every election evoked panic buying which lead to shortages of .22, ammo prices going up, mags becoming worth their weight in gold, and milsurp drying up. It’ a visious cycle.

I don't think it actually happened. If it did happen it was probably some completely nobody.

Why would you need to import guns from a place where guns are expensive and difficult to acquire (Mexico), into a place where guns are cheap and easy to acquire (USA), and commit a felony in the process? It doesn't make sense

hows about this

It's going down tomorrow, some of you guys are alright, don't leave your basements.

nah Trump's gonna win mate

>what do you have now that you did not have at this time last year?
Zero guns, no ammo
Now I have 7 guns and around 13,000 rds of ammo in various calibers.

>As of now
1 neglected S&W 1911 and no ammo thanks to corrosion from flooding. Sorry, Papa.
>In about 6 months or so
Either a Polish AKMS build from Atlantic Firearms or I’ll have one built and enough mags and ammo to keep me comfortable. It’ll probably take me a bit longer to get a rig and plates. I might forgo a helmet altogether.

Even so, it just means we give all the stored goods one 4y rotation out and end up right here again in early 2023. All the same bits in between. Repeat ad infinitum til national socialist utopia.

If you have to bury your guns you already lost.

Attached: 1554861957786.jpg (1078x1360, 156K)

you guys do realize that if D win 2020, they'll never lose another election again, right?

Most people aren’t aware of this you have to remember most people haven’t even heard of Ann Coulter much less anything further right than Trump

I'm unironically preparing for civil unrest.
In the last year I've gone from no guns to 3 guns.
I'm really not at all worried about legislation. Even in the unlikely event that trump loses 2020, we have the supreme court.
In the event federal legislation does somehow pass, my state, among others, will sue.
Barring that my local sheriff will refuse to enforce.

Legislation is not what worries me for 2020.

I now have an AR

Not 2020, but the march of demographics means that gun rights can only expect to get worse in the future.

I got my NVGs, beamz, and filed for two cans already. There's lots of cool guns I'd like to own that I might not be able to if hillary 2.0 wins but nothing I would need in the even I have to use it. I should buy more ammo, I like having enough to shoot and not worry during panics

>you guys do realize that if D win 2020, they'll never lose another election again, right?
What makes you say that?

See

Most of mass is fucked regardless of which highway

ah classic. People literally say this every single election.

BUT THIS ONE IS DIFFERENT RIGHT?!

>what is mass demographic change?
Can't wait til the brown hordes reach your peaceful civnat neighborhood

I’m gonna keep buying mags, ammo and some spare parts. But if something happened and nothing was available anymore, I will be pretty content with what I have.

>waiting until the last minute to “panic buy”

And passing the Cohen Act will be their first order of business.

What’s that?

It's a reference to an infamous book called "The Turner Diaries". In the book, the "Cohen Act" bans all private firearm ownership. The protagonist sees that the 3% 2A types won't actually fight back, a disillusion which makes him turn to terrorism.
While the law was put into place to stop the "Racists", it ironically helps them when they decide to start genociding minorities because the minorities are disarmed, too.
