Quite possibly Cuba. They sent expeditionary forces all over Africa during the Cold War to support communist insurgencies, and they did the same (when allowed) in Latin America. Not to say they're particularly competent, but for a communist Latin state, they've sent troops all over the place, including Venezuela these days.

Brazil might also be a contender due to how much richer it is than other countries in its region. They had a hand-me-down aircraft carrier for some time, though it's currently decommissioned iirc.

Argentinio. That's all..

Venezuela. They stand firm against the U.S imperialism in these trying times.

Nice joke, I almost laughed.

Chile. Best trained and equipped force down there, they have Leopard 2s and F-16s and regularly train with US forces.

Not Mexico, and Im saying this as mexican nationalist.

California

>posts propaganda video of ultra corrupt government for dumb retards
I guess you'll cling to that last victory against third worlders for the next 100 years huh

>not recognizing blatant satire
Come on man

Chile probably, after all their military was built up by Prussian immigrants.

Cornudo.

As an offensive military, sure, but if anyone ever invaded Mexico, the resulting insurgency would be fucking brutal.

Columbia. They're the only beaner military that has actually beaten anything in living memory except the ragtags led by Subcomandante Marcos.

The EZLN. Even after almost thirty years, the Mexican Government is still coping.

They’re definitely one of the more effective left-wing militias in Latin America. Not sure how well they’d fare if Mexico had anything resembling an effective government, though.

>They’re definitely one of the more effective left-wing militias in Latin America
Don't forget they aren't condemned like all the others as well. And have improved the lives of their people.

Yup, Chile is very well equipped, I'd say it's one of the best countries down there
And yes, sadly (Also mexican)

Watch all the gringos masturbate over a group of indios with rifles anda white leader

That’s fair to some extent. The whole Zapatista movement has a lot of history of stealing from not just the rich but middle class farmers as well, though. At least they don’t seem to outright murder farmers like FARC does/did.

>Unironically calling Colombia ''Columbia''

They probably have one of the more combat-effective militaries on the continent, due to the long history of internal policing between cartels and commie insurgents. Along with their relatively close alliance with the US, they’re probably a contender.

The Parceros have won Fuerzas Commando for like...7 years straight? maybe more

F-16's are shit.

They seem to preform quite well for an ostensibly budget aircraft. They’re no F-15, but there isn’t really anything in its price range that can reliably outclass it.

Argentina they fought the British.

They also lost, and the military has only gotten worse since the 80’s and the collapse of the military junta.

Then Mexico. They defeated the French.

I think they’re talking about the current situation in Latin America, not historical precedent. Really, it’s either Colombia, Brazil, Cuba, or Chile.

Brazil - Largest military in Latin America, largest budget (11th largest budget globally), all around decently equipped
Colombia - One of the largest militaries in Latin America, some experience fighting drug and cartel groups in its jungles, close ties to US, receives training and equipment from US occasionally, 2nd largest budget.
Chile - Well equipped and trained, btfo'd Peru and Bolivia by itself and cock blocked Bolivia from the Pacific

I agree with all of those points, but it’s worth noting that Cuba has been the only one to expeditionarily deploy before, despite their small size. (Ignoring Brazil’s somewhat trivial involvement in WWII)

That's true and Cuba is definitely in the top 10. Although most of its past deployments were done with logistical aid from the USSR, today that capability along with its aging equipment is far more limited without that aid anymore.

Colombia has the best infantry out of sheer experience. They have shit mechanization outside of US maintained Blackhawk helicopters for ‘Nam style raids, the mountainous terrain makes it hard to build infrastructure rated for anything larger than 5 ton vehicles.

The airforce is built around counterinsurgency with mostly Tucanos. They do have a handful of Mirages and Kifrs that exist in inventory mainly for flybys, but we’re in a terrible state of repair, as demonstrated during a period of war tensions with Ecuador and Venezuela a decade ago, they freaked out and got in a mad rush to Israel and France to secure spare parts to make their jets fully operational. I wonder if they can nigger rig sidewinders onto their Tucanos in order to be able to missile spam Venezuelan jets.

Ecuador and Peru have a decent selection of NATO and Combloc gear, Ecuador in particular got 5,000 Type 56s as aid after an earthquake a few years ago, and supposedly bought out Tapco’s entire supply of FAL furniture. Peru is equipped with mostly slavshit while fighting against Shining Path, but they had a brief war with Ecuador in 1995 in which they were shooting down each other’s Hinds with Iglas, a repeat of that conflict would be very interesting given the improvements to infrastructure they have had since then.

The decline of Argentina is a bummer since Chile has kept itself up to date like has written, but no regional rival to conduct an arms race with.

Have some pride in your nation you cucks.

Colombia
Mexico
Peru

all in that order.
>Colombia
Fought against the FARCS , Nacros and also Narcoterrorism, experts in guerrilla and jungle warfare.
>Peru
Although they lost the CENEPA war against Ecuador, their main focus was to defeat the MRTA and Shining Path terrorists groups rising up on the Andes and Amazons. Although Montesinos and Fujimori got indicted for human rights violations, the dudes where so fucking based that they not only threw commies out helicopters but also drowned them and even killed them with death squads on their own festivities and parties. They also led Operation Chavin De Huantar on national television live and succeeded beautifully.

>Mexico
Theyve been battling Los Zetas for decades and the Sinaloan Cartel. Enough said.

I have pride in my nation, but the gubmint is a fucking piece of shit that doesn't care about its armed forces, at this point the Federal police and state police agencies are better equipped

>Brazilian Navy fell for the ACU meme

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

>Ecuador in particular got 5,000 Type 56s as aid after an earthquake a few years ago
wat

>at this point the Federal police and state police agencies are better equipped
which makes sense, they actually need it. mexico doesn't need a well equipped army, that's why they don't even have tanks. no real enemies outside of mexico, no interest in foreign intervention.

True, yet they still have the army on the streets

Brazil has the best artillery of the continent by far.
Counting with astros and they also received a fuckload of M109 from the US milsurp, which were updated to the A5+ version.

Attached: file.png (2126x1408, 3.09M)

>they lost the CENEPA
so this is how Ecuadorians sleep at night
we moped the floor with the Ecuadorian army, however, at the end of the war we acknowledged them a miserable 1km of worthless amazonian land but without actual Ecuadorian sovereignty (lmao) so they could stop bitching and mourn their fallen soldiers there, the Ecuadorian government (their independent journalists have a different view) somehow see this as a victory of their part even though not even an inch of the disputed land was gained by Ecuador, all went to Peru

I see you're still coping Peru.

This. It proved that not all Socialist militias are evil and that they can do some good.

Guacamole camo

If the gringos had adopted it you wouldn't call it that
Ironically, the army's old boots were called guacamole boots by the regular infantry

>Theyve been battling Los Zetas for decades and the Sinaloan Cartel. Enough said.
They would have won the Drug War earlier if America stops supporting the Cartels.

So who's the Greatest General in your own respective countries Latin America? I know for a Fact that Santa Anna is Mexico's greatest General of all time.

Attached: santa-anna.jpg (921x1200, 220K)

They're miles ahead of the Tucanos and F-5s and Mirage's that every other South American military can hope to field.

For me, it was Duque de Caxias.

During Paraguay War he basically took a crumbling Brazilian Army and made it a professional force, also during the war he made Paraguayan prisoners build a highway to their main cities and capital.

Attached: file.png (260x353, 101K)

They're MLU's though, not even the most advanced in the continent.

Costa Rica

French Guiana :D
I guess U.K. still has the Falklands too... Is there any other "foreign" country in the neighborhood?

Points for implying veterancy as the force multiplier it is. Additional points to the Columbians for fighting insurgencies which are actually effectively militarized, more invaluable experience. This is part of the reason I'd take America's average line unit over that of pretty much any of its equals in the world -- when you have a competent, battle hardened NCO corps that doesn't panic when rounds start popping off and instead takes control of the situation, that's most of the battle right there. A completely green line platoon is unlikely to survive over an experienced one simply because their minds have already adjusted to combat. They get to skip the part where they're getting into the shit for the first time. It's a hell of a thing when your platoon leadership shits the bed on contact.

If that were the case, then Mexico has the Third Best Army in the Americas simply due to them dealing with the Drug Cartels.

Brazil

And got eternally BTFO, still buthurt today

They lost the Islas Malvinas to imperialist. Any nation would be mad.

>sidewinder armed tucanos

Attached: 3c8.jpg (200x198, 10K)

Dont they have their own camo? I tought only Kazakstan fell for the UCP meme

lmao, ironically the one country in Central America with no army and it has the biggest "defense" budget of the region

Interesting country Costa Rica they do pretty well for that region and have very low inmigration numbers in the US(I read an article some dude published in fox news) they do however suffer from mass inmigration from their neighbors

>not Obregón
Fuck you

>Not Pancho Villa.
The Americans fear the Centaur of the North.

Attached: General Francisco Pancho Villa.jpg (1250x1000, 256K)

They do, despite the corruption and budget, they’re fairly well equipped and make excellent use of technicals as transports and support vehicles, along with APCs. If a war ever came to this side of the world, theyd be a better military ally than Canada

They’re both pretty good, though Obregón had excellent understanding of conventional warfare for the time

General Patton

>they’re fairly well equipped and make excellent use of technicals as transports and support vehicles, along with APCs.
You weren't kidding.

Attached: Mexican Army truck.jpg (960x720, 140K)

Yeah, it’s pretty ingenious considering the terrain. They have this seating thing in the middle of the truck bed that allows for four people to sit, so carrying capacity is like ten including a gunner

The camo on that thing is pretty cool.

Not just a terrain issue either.
It’s cheap and fast too. Using anything else would be a downgrade. The only issue is that the crew isn’t protected by armor, but in places where that’s an issue they have better protected armored cars.

>Ecuador: We have had much earth rumbling and need humanitarian aid
>Everyone else: Have shelters, bottled water, baby formula, canned food, etc.
>China: Here, have 5000 AKs
>Ecuador: but we need tents and water purification devices and...
>China: Its humanitarian aid, please accept
>Ecuador: o-okay (wtf do we do with AKs, we have FALs and HK33s)

None.

And don't say messico has cool shit. If you have ever seen these fucking monkeys and their improvised toys, you'd fucking laugh.

He's a boomer, don't expect much.

They never had them to begin with.

I've trained with Chile's navy. Disciplined dudes that know how to get things done. Much better than most of the other foreign armed forces I've trained with

Wrong! It rightfully belongs to us.

They have Block 50s too

They use the same pattern as the Army, but theirs are more greener. While the Army has some shades of Brown.

Attached: file.png (1380x920, 1.73M)

Eletronics wise both Chilean F-16's and Brazilian's F-5's are on pair, since Brazilians modernized their not so long ago.

Attached: file.png (591x485, 454K)

As a follow-up: can they unite and btfo gringoland?

Rest of LatAm infantry looks so outdated compared to the Mexicans.

Eh the Chileans keep up

Attached: DA02525D-3C80-4909-9166-8F052FC6A450.jpg (640x424, 64K)

Equipment doesn't mean much desu.
Results is where is at, i could post GRUMEC and call them "the most dated of LatAm".

Attached: file.png (933x599, 839K)

Even a basic Block 50 with the APG-68V5 is much more capable than an upgraded F-5 which is only using the Grifo F

You’re right, it doesn’t mean everything. But it is a good indication that a military has money to spend on keeping its forces trained and prepared while maintaining good logistic chains.

How equipped is the Mexican army?

Pretty well. New uniforms and rifles for most units, G3 currently being phased out.

The drug cartels

That’s a CT unit training in a shoothouse, that’s why they’re wearing that.

Brazil definitely has the budget. I will also add that the Colombian soldiers I saw on the streets of Bogota a few years back looked like some hard cunts. They had just finished battling the FARC into negotiating a cease fire and those 19-21 year old guys looked weathered from just a couple of years of fierce jungle combat waging a counter insurgency. I don't know how competent their leadership is, and their equipment was definitely dated 80's US stuff (super aesthetic BDU's M16A1's and FN FNC's tho) but the average grunt looked lean and mean to be sure.

So, the entire Mexican forces went for Digital camo?

lol

Yes. The guy in the picture is naval infantry, they all wear that camo. The army has two uniforms, one desert and one forest. This is the desert uniform.

Did you know Brazil has nuclear T-I-G-E-R-S?

Attached: file.png (1280x853, 1.94M)

It looks weird in that photo because it’s too saturated, this is more what it looks like in person.

Here the Caatinga forces use a leather uniform.
The coolest thing is the hats they use is inspired from the Cangaçeiros, which was a criminal group in the early 1900's in Northeast.
