I made dollar store bug out bags for friends and family last Christmas.
They ended up being pretty good, but were about $20 each.
And I made 10.
My family was appreciative at least.

Wow, nice etching set up! Ever tried making a stencil with toner-transfer paper? Wouldn't be too good for rounded surfaces but being able to print a stencil with a laser printer is pretty neat.

Don't be a tacky fuck and force your interests on others. That said, a small engraved brass wind chime is easy enough to make and they aren't stuck with clutter if they don't want it. It can "be damaged in a storm" or whatever without them feeling bad about it.

Basically this. I also try to avoid to be too much seen as "the gun guy with knives", having guns make already stand out in my country.
Also, it kinda gets on my nerve when I see someone that knows shit about guns wearing, having, or bragging about Jow Forums related stuff. Like this girl in high school who wore a "real empty case of a pistol bullet" around her neck while it was some bad chinese reproduction of a complete .223 cartridge. Weird thing, she's anti gun and it was given to her by her gay friend. Guess it was some kind of "artistic denounciation of gun violence" or some bullshit like that.
