Most brits don't know anything about the f35 or f22 and certainly don't harbour any emotions that would cloud their judgement. If some pilots say they prefer the f22 then they wont be doing it to annoy some American spergs on Jow Forums.

The reason the F-35 uses one engine is a combination of the reduced maintenance cost, the VTOL requirement and the fact that the F-119/135 was the most advanced engine at the time.

As it stands the F-35 is still safer than a Hornet.

Technically speaking, they’re both Ferrari’s. But the F-22 is something like an FXX (extremely limited production, only does one thing but does it really really really well, exclusive ownership) while the F-35 is something like a 599 (still somewhat limited production compared to a Ford Escort, but still much more obtainable than the FXX while being more useful overall and still being faster than your dad’s shitbox)
