Not really, they just crank up the comfy. They help very slightly when a gun heats up after high volume shooting too. You can cop the same rifle without anodizing from LMT. Tell Karl Shark sent you.

I know BCM BCG are just microbest BCG but you do pay for the QC and piece of mind, which some people dont mind paying for, beeforoni is a cool dude, met him during shot show a few years ago, he isnt a dick like mark (((larue))), he likes the same shit I do, muscle cars and motorcycles, so even if I paid for his BCG I dont mind paying extra to help him out, I know BCM isnt top tier but the quality is good for the price point.

no but i did the real thing for a year. only weapon i'd want a sling on is open bolt and two to three times the weight of an AR. an AR is light enough to just carry in one or both hands, depending on who's watching.

A sling lets you use both your hands while retaining the gun on demand.

I feel like the stainless barrel would be better for corrosion resistance. I took my AR out hunting and I'm not sure exactly what the barrel has on it, kinda looksblike a park or nitride, but it got mad surface rust from the snow, since I couldn't wipe the drops off through my mlok handguard.

Wiped down with alcohol to strip oils down, sprayed it down, used blow dryer to get it cured a bit, hung up in oven on warm for an hour.

Well I only got one reply in the last thread but I think the thread had devolved into shitposting when I did so I think I'll ask again:

I picked up a Palmetto State Armory Freedom rifle kit for cheap. It's my first AR and my first time building from a kit. Going to pick up four MAGPUL 30 round mags but I haven't decided on a lower yet. Any suggestions or thoughts for a beginner?

Yeah. I've been shopping for a while now and your best bet with getting a lower alone is buying one at a lgs.
You have to pay a transfer fee so even if you find a good lower on sale, you still have to pay that fee which will negate any sale.

If you're not getting an ambi lower, get Aero. Unless you're willing to pay extra money for a different logo etched in the side. Then buy which ever logo you think is the cutest

Aero does seem to be the overwhelming suggestion. Luckily I have a little trading post nearby that are super cool about transfers and only charge $25 for the paperwork. I have to say I'm partial to the coiled snake logos.
