Agreed. A2s are great. My next rifle will be a 20” barrel, A2 handguards, flattop reciever, and a decent medium range piece of glass. Sorta like pic related

A2's had great aesthetic. I want a carbine t omake like pic related.

I wish I was old enough to experience standard issue A2s. By the time I got in in 2010, I had an A4 with an RCO. The quad rail made that rifle heavier than I would have liked. Something about the plastic handguards feel and look perfect to me.

Its my dream to own an old Winchester Model 1885 with one of those long telescopic scopes that goes all the way to the end of the barrel

What in the fuck is a "set up"?

Attached: wm_5371500.jpg (1685x1124, 119K)

It refers to modular rifle like the AR15. The word configuration could also be used. Try to keep up

Just consider, for only a moment, that the question may have been a tongue in cheek jab at OP's retarded statement that all rifles are (boring) modern and modular.

What upper?

Attached: IMG_20171001_101444.jpg (1763x1309, 745K)

I never insinuated that. If you’re favorite rifle is modular, what is your favorite configuration of that rifle? Your just butthurt at the term “set up” and you probably make threads with a fat guy with a stretched face laughing saying
>truck gun

>Post your favorite Rifle and setup.
>It refers to modular rifle like the AR15.
My favorite rifle doesn't have a setup and it isn't modular. There's a whole world of fun out there you and your ilk are missing with this view of the firearms world through a straw.
And before you start arguing further
>There are no wrong answers.

I’m not saying you’re answer is wrong. I’m just criticizing you for being a faggot about a simple term. Just because my favorite rifle is an ar15 doesn’t mean I don’t hold more classic rifles in high regard.

>ilk

My stock Yugo SKS would br considered my favorite rifle.
Good balance of useful dependability and cheap ammo.
No special “set up” needed. Rifle is fine.

It's always been a testament to the design of the sks to me that even though there are AKs out there, and the price point is close enough now to not quibble over, a lot of guys still like their SKSs. Not even for bubba'ing or anything, they just like them.

I live in NY and I think comliant AKs are pretty much abominations.
Plus I dislike short mags in AKs, ruins the aesthetic
SKS on the otherhand is unmolested by legislation and I like the option of using stripper clips, for admittedly oddball reasons I actually prefer hand feeding rounds and using clips over magazines.

Why have the vfg that far back? Couldn't you move the vfg forward and just the magwell? Not knocking, just curious.

What are those stock mag-pouches called and why do I see them so often on A4 clones?

googling "stock mag-pouches" came up with this:

Not him
But it's also a bipod
So maybe he wants the bipod to be closer to the middle as well
I'm not sure why about that either however

all niggers must hang...
ban me mods
prob take you a day or two
**yawn**

i thought ARs and handguns were illegal in australia

Make me, fag

ruined by the fact it's a anderson parts build, if it was a FN or Colt that would be sex.

I’m a bigger build and I find putting my arm out super far is uncomfortable when shooting. If I can bring that fore grip back and tighten my self I shoot way better since I don’t have to support my whole arm

GOOD GOOD FRESH FRESH

I wish I could find one for sale

what is that upper

I've heard the term monolithic upper, but hadn't seen one yet. Pretty nice. What mag is that?

Pulling on that charging handle must be annoying with the eyepiece extended had far back, even with my 1-6x scope's eyepiece being right on the end of the handle, I had to replace the release latch with an extended one to make it more comfortable to pull the charging handle.

It worked for my Gramps and Great Uncles, it'll work for me.

Parts kit my guy.

Faxon Firearms ARAK-21 upper with Hera Arms H2 magazines.

its quite a bit different from most other uppers, it uses a long stroke gas system like an AK-47 with an adjustable gas block, the only parts it shares with standard ARs is the bolt assembly and flash hider. the receiver is one big chunk of billet aluminum with a quick swap barrel locked in place by the bottom of the handguard. its heavy and expensive but turns a lot of heads and runs like a dream.
