Really its the Urban rural divide. I live in Rockland, and even here there's barely any open spaces left, never mind firearm friendly activities. People down here just have zero experience with firearms, and rely entirely on their media expose to form their opinions. They see active shooters and dead kids and then get told guns are the problem, no one bothers to dig into the real issues, they just quietly accept whatever garbage they are fed.
