Here's a Mauser m1906 pistol. It was supposed to be a replacement for the c96.
It uses a short-recoil flapper-locking that's much stronger than the c96, and the standard model takes detachable mags.
I believe one of the factory prototypes for these guns was chambered in a cartridge very similar to 10mm Auto.
One of the Mauser brothers tried scaling this mechanism up to rifle size with promising results until the prototype suddenly exploded in his face, maiming him and permanently blinding him in one eye.

Although the Mannlicher/enbloc clip system was replaced with a blind box mag fed with stripper clips.

Total cunt stole my motorcycle. I reported it to the cops and they didn't send anyone to the scene. I had to come down the the station to leave a statement. Once there it was clear that the cops just wanted to the fuck off so that they could drink coffee and waste tax payer money in peace.
I found out who stole my bike, even had photographs of him with my stolen bike. I sent these to the cops who promptly did fuck-all.
I was out of the town drinking with some buddies about 2 months later when I bumped into the thieving cunt.
I confronted him about it and he basically said "Yeah, I stole your bike. What are you going to do about it?"
So I proceeded to deliver some justice upon him.
Then the bitch cried to the cops and the cops took my guns away. Ended up convicted of severe battery and had to pay obscene amount of damage compensation to the bitch because he ended up losing and eye and needing to have a lot of expensive dental work done.
Avoided prison though, just got house arrest for 6 months because it was my first offense.
If everything pans out I'll be eligible to apply for new firearms licenses in a few months once the 5-year felony ban has passed.

Yes, obviously with curvatures that extreme G forces will mangle the shit out of the bullet at high velocities.
It was merely built to prove a point, that a slight curvature to the bore isn't a big deal as long as the muzzle is pointing in the right direction and the crown is good.

And u know what, I should have specified, that is fucking neato burrito. I’ve always been certain that there are certain situations that affect accuracy far more than others, like a pristine and perfect crown, and a cm or two beforehand, are some of the most important requirements. Like bolt lockup and position being consistent, and barrel rigidity, and proper harmonic repetition or repeatable resettling (can’t remember a lot of these terms)

You'd have to read up in the indvidual kit to see what has to be done and which ones they're compatible with. Most of them don't require any permanent mods to the gun, just part swaps.
I think that wooden one is a one-off custom job though.
