Veprs are heavy as fuck.

thats a kalashnikov light machine gun.

Despite being light it's still heavy.

Well it's still lighter than an M249 and much lighter than an M240. Lighter than a BAR. Only thing is that the barrel is long and the mass of the bipod makes it pretty unbalanced but great for prone or supported shooting especially with the club stock.

What the hell did you just said? You dont even know how hard you oshibaeshsya zdes', pidor. Eto dazhe близкo нe тo, кaк oн нaзывaeтcя нa caмoм дeлe. Coбиpaйcя и вaли из нити, yёбoк, чтoбы я тeбя бoльшe никoгдa нe видeл.

RPK's do look hot with a 40, better then the drum IMO

I always thought an actual machine gun was distinguished by having (a) a belt feed and (b) a removable barrel. These are the things you need if you're going to sling hot lead all day and suppress the fuck out of things. Isn't this more of a modern day BAR, kinda like the Colt LMG... which they ALSO call a machine gun? I am confuse.

Begone namefag.

The distinction is just that a machine gun is designated for sustained/suppressive fire. RPK gets away with non-detachable barrel by virtue of the heavy barrel, chrome lining, lower pressure 7.62x39 cartridge and limited capacity (versus a belt fed machine gun).

at 600rpm it is also on the low end of cyclic rates for machine guns

Eat shit, Redditor.

Ah so.

don't you have some kids to diddle? You're even more of a faggot than Zed was.

It's the Slavic version of a SAW.

Ironically, that makes the Ultimax the Western/Asian version of the RPK.

>These are the things you need

You need them for a platoon/company GPMG. You don't need them for a team/squad LMG in the assault or ambush.

So the Russians *don't* field a belt fed in 5.45?

Field, no, although the national guard has some for showing off. Logistically it doesn't make much sense when the PKM and RPK74 are logistically engrained.

Yeah that's the only downside.

>like the infantry rifle, but build for continuous fire
>40 round mags vs 30 rounders
>About 12 lbs loaded up
Sounds like something else I've recently heard about.
