It works incredibly well for me and has a lower 1/3rd cowitness, It was well worth the money in favor of an something that sits so far up there's no weld to speak of.

Slav optics are either blatantly inferior or about comparable to western optics. There's literally no reason to own them aside from LARPing.

Seeing as how you bought an American AK you're clearly not doing that, so you might as well just get a RS regulate set of mounts and get something like a micro red dot, an ACOG with a 7.62x39 reticle, or even a good 1-6.

Seconding low-offset red dots, they're funky but fun. I use mine for hog hunting and inside of 200yds its outstanding. I'd try taking it out further but longer shots just don't exist where I hunt.

Thanks, it's a beryl handguard foregrip attached to the factory. Only thing that needed to be done was drill a hole for the grip screw. I'm going to later modify it so I can still have the cleaning rod.
Which one do you have? Is it actually offset to the side from the bore axis like some other slav optics (PSO's, etc), or do you mean it's also co-witnessing?

I have one. It’s nice that it sits low and centre on the bore, and it has some sexy retro lines. But damn if that isn’t a chunk cunt of an optic.
