Maybe, but you'd have to ask a gunsmith. My guess is it's not worth it since a) barrels aren't that expensive, and b) 3.5" 12ga shells supposedly don't pattern well.

Used to have a Mossberg 500. Recently picked up a mint Winchester Defender for $225 and have been really impressed with it, it handles really well and is super slick.
I wonder why you don't hear about these guns more. They're the last pump actually made by Winchester and they seem pretty damn good. Certainly easier to lug around than the Model 12 I used to have.

Bought a new Mossberg Shockwave 12g with our tax return and was SO disappointed in Mossberg's delicate flat blue finish that I distressed the piss out of it! Now I don't worry about scratching it anymore.
Fit an old Mossberg 500 Police forend, a stock adapter, brace, a walnut A2 grip, and made a custom light for the mag cap.
It's my favorite gun. It's my slampig.
