And this for the pastebin?

What were they going for here?

I'm not sure how clear it's going to be in these pictures, the color kinda went to shit. But I was fucking around with dying mags to get a darker plum sort of color, and the orange tapcos take Wine color rit dye pretty well. The bottom spring thing is the original color. The dyed color is more purplish than it appears.
Next, I'm going to see how fiberglass resin works for reinforcing the feed lips. Because why the fuck not.

should I buy a Russian red wooden furniture or a Black Poly furniture for my ak /ak/? I think the russian red looks cheesey, but I like wood better than poly. right now I have some yellow/white furniture on it.

russian red, it’s gaudy but you know you love it

I know this must sound stupid, but are stocks and furniture considered a FFL item I know pistol Frames are considered a FFL item.

No. The "receiver" of firearms is the FFL transferable component.
>Well maybe in NY or Cali. Have they fallen that far yet?

For AKs, it's only the receiver that is a FFL item
For pistols the frame is the the receiver except for a few exceptions such as the P320 that has a serialized fire control unit inside a replaceable grip module

Do any anons have experience with pic related? I’m in the market to buy a barrel for a build, and it seems as if these are the right spec and also 922r compliant. I know US made AK stuff is usually bullshit, so if there’s anything better I’m interested

Yeah I think it’s fucking dumb too, I just want a nice barrel at the end of the day. While I was looking around, I actually found the Polish barrel you had posted the link for, but I’m unsure what makes it different from any other AK barrel based on the “sporter replacement” designation

>tfw either autistic or retarded

Attached: 30760425-D544-4499-836A-DCE267C7575E.png (774x1080, 1022K)

Because of the so called "barrel ban", "sporter" barrels are the only one's that are importable. You used to be able to find Romy kits with barrels for next to nothing.
>So of course that shouldn't be legal.
So the new barrels are marketed as "replacement sporter" barrels, is effectively in the same place as braces and shockwaves.
I am curious who is cold hammer forging AK barrels in the US though.

Ah ok, so if I were to use that polish barrel there would be no visual difference between that and an original? As far as the US CHF barrel goes, I have absolutely no idea where they’re from besides being sold by AK builder. I haven’t found too much information about them either with the exception of some people saying they’re g2g. I figured I’d check here since I’m skeptical of US made ak components

What wrong with magazine cover? Russian mags have same.

The floor plate wouldn’t be a us made part, which means that it isn’t compliant with 922r. It’s a retarded US law that says foreign guns have to use a certain number of US made components, which is why I was asking about a US made barrel

Too hard amerikans laws for me. I just buy some bakelite magazines for 200roubles(3$) and dont give a fuck.

I fucking wish I could buy Bakelite magazines for $3, that beats the hell out of prices here. You can buy completely foreign made magazines though, my brother has a bunch of surplus Bulgarian magazines he bought and they work great. As far as AKs go, I believe there needs to be 6 US made parts altogether, including magazines. A lot of people don’t give a fuck though and don’t follow that (admittedly retarded) law

I dont know why you masturbate on bakelite in USA, why bakelit mag is so high price. In Russia these magazine like dirt on streets.

No idea why we love them here, probably because they’re scarce and therefore expensive so people mistake that for being superior. Personally I just like surplus steel magazines, but here are some good polymer magazines on the market here too

Attached: C40A14F5-77B3-4381-8178-BFED7CEF3FB5.jpg (1536x872, 531K)

Ship me some "Airsoft Sport Goods" пoжaлyйcтa

Mainly because we can't get it, same with chink stuff like the mak-90s.
Otherwise, the bakes are considered the "best" AK mag, strong like steel, light like polymer.
>I still don't have any pls no bulli

Fuckin saved
Because they look cool
>why is price so high
Normies found out what those "cool wooden mags" finally were right when imports started to restrict and now boomers who've been sitting on masse piles charge an arm and a leg.
People with friends in Russia still avidly get mags for dirt cheap.

>tfw look like the second guy
>tfw no good aks near me

>people import mags here
>all is well
>eventually popularity starts picking up
>prices rise a little
>still good though, at least theres a constant supply
>eventually popularity really starts picking up
>as a result, you have every Vatnik and their babushka attempting to ship out "farm equipment" and "airsoft bodies" in big, sometimes multi-hundred magazine orders
>RU customs says fuck off
>blocks packages left and right from being sent to the US
>all the while popularity is still growing but normies are getting frustrated they cant find any bakes at a good price
>boomers come in, start overpricing their magazines to see what would happen
>normies eat it up
>price them higher
>still eating it up
>rinse and repeat because it doeant matter to them whatsoever, as long as THEY got THEIR magazine they dont see paying almost 30x the value a problem

Kurwa, any chance of Atlantic’s golf ball fakelite material being made into magazines?

Knowingly buying fakelite is probably the gayest thing one could intentionally do

*sniff sniff*

I’m looking into getting into AKs. Is it better to assemble one from a parts kit or just buy a new one? I have access to a machine shop and I’m pretty competent on lathes and mills. About how much should I expect to spend on a parts kit? Are there any parts kits that are actually better than another?
Thanks in advance.

If you've got a machine shop build one. More fun and the gubbmint doesn't get to know about it. There are some jigs you'll have to buy for bending the receiver flats. There are also 80% receivers already bent and with the rails welded in. The rest of the jigs for pressing and riveting you can make yourself or buy if you are lazy. Parts kits range from $250 for a clapped out rusty romanian to $1000 for a brand new AK-100 grey market import. Receiver flats are like $30, 80%ers are $115. Barrels are between $100-200 mostly. The biggest cost in building is tooling up to do it but if you already have the tools you are good to go. It is a fair amount of work though fair warning, this ain't an AR-15 technic box. Took me and a buddy five hours to get this far last Saturday.

What kind of preformance can you expect with .308 out of an AK? I kinda wanna buy the Vepr in the link because for $1000 I get an extremely high quality rifle in an extremely powerful round.

>Spend lots of time lurking to possibly find something related to what you want to know rather than just asking it.

then there is 2, there is usually 1 as well

Attached: converted to airsoft.jpg (1080x1080, 149K)

Didn't Kalashnikov order the destruction of these after they failed tests? I remember reading some where that he was really sad when someone asked him to sign one of those mags.

They’re in common use and all over the place so probably not

I did not. I think next time around I will. I wanted to see what sort of a base color I would get with just this first, and if the orange base would affect it. I have another set coming later this week from Midway, so I think I'll give that a go.

Didn’t you ask about a .316 pin the other day I made one from a letter O drill bit yesterday and worked great

Is $600 for an Interarms 74 with "only 200" rounds through it decent?

Attached: apu.png (128x108, 14K)

Yeah I'll make one. No big deal.

This has been determined as fuddlore ages ago. For starters that wouldnt be Mikhail's decision.

Answer is in the pastebin, try reading it sometime.

>Serbia briefly stops exporting AKs
>Poland takes the spot
>Romanian exports pick up as well
>Serbia says fuck you guys as does it themself
>Hungary wants a piece of the action now
This is cool

Csspecs makes 20 rounders and pufgun has 25 rounders if you can find them.

>tfw Wafag
>tfw no funs until I grad uni

I had funs in my dorm room when I was in school. I just didn't tell anybody.

yea I did already, is $600 considered low for them

Any 74 under $800 that won't blow up is good to go.

So you have your answer now fuck off

alright thanks
and are tapco G2s fine? says that's what it comes with

Lurk

tapco is fine, may need to grind down the hammer a bit so it doesnt beat up your bolt carrier

Doesn't look like you're far off. Never thought to do this myself, and now I don't have any crapco mags left.

So what is it?

Rudolf the Big Nosed Hungarian on akfiles won't show a pic of the receiver on the "antique" FEG SVDs. There's no way the US would import SVDs with izzy receivers, would they?

Probably because he doesnt have one, I mean the shit was just announced was it not? Seems pretty fast to already have pictures.
Also no, Izhmash/KC is sanctioned by name.

so FEG had tooling to make their own svd parts, including receivers?

also you would think he would have seen one of these in person and maybe taken a picture, would you not???

is beth in danger or not, I haven't slept in days

Attached: 1556903330453.jpg (506x303, 24K)

Holy hell when are you going to shut the fuck up about your SVD? To that effect how would their importation even relatively decrease the value of a Russian made variant? It would do nothing but raise it.
We get it, you own a Dragunov.

Never, and her name is Beth

congrats on the raise again, glad you got her. Post some range pics

Attached: gojira11.png (640x480, 138K)

I will user. I decided not to take her out last Sunday, it was my first time at this private range and I didn't want to look like a tryhard flexer. It's run by vietnam vets so I didn't want to commie sperg on them on the first date
I will next time, in 2-3 weeks. I want to know how the 20'' barrel shoots. I have to get certified at 200 before I can go out to 300-600 yards.
