No it’s not. The HPA won’t pass, but spoiler: it was never going to pass in the first place. But suppressors won’t get even more restricted than they are now, because that’d require legislation instead of just an ATF ruling, and nobody in either party wants to open the Pandora’s Box of amending the NFA.

It’s not so much that as that the NFA is considered settled law, and nobody wants to mess with it. If I remember right, the NFA has only been amended once, back in the 50s. Originally the minimum barrel length for both rifles and shotguns was 18”, but Congress reduced the rifle length to 16” for the sole reason that they wanted to be able to recoup some war production costs by selling off surplus M1 Carbines on the civilian market, and they had a 16” barrel. Other than that, like I said, nobody in Washington wants to open up the Pandora’s Box of amending the NFA. So nothing’s going to happen on it either way, good or bad.
