For everyday pocket carry I use a Spyderco Tenacious, good cheap knife I don't mind beating up. In my truck I keep a Kabar and an old Ontario M7 Bayonet. I like the bayonet better.

Spyderco tenacious and the Ontario rat 1/2 are great folders, specially for the price. Specially Rat. Aus 8 steel, smooth opener g10 scales I believe, 30 bucks.

It's retarded ok it's just some shit CutCo does to sell Ka-Bars.... like the stamped sheath adds value. Tugging at the Vet heart strings or the JROTC fags hard ons.

When I was a teenager I've had problems with the guard bending (and learned that ka bars make horrible throwing knives). But if you don't do retarded things with it like bushcrafting or throwing it dozen of times against a hard surface ka-bars are excellent knives that are very durable.

I'm saying the modifiers applied to it are. Stick tangs are distinct from rat tail tangs but people conflate them largely as a result of the same sharpened crowbar marketing push that led people to believe that slab tang is synonymous with full tang.

I've got to say, someone thinking that I'm questioning the existence of tangs is a new one. Can't imagine what took you there but at least it's novel.
