I think they will want to use the traditional ceremony for this one, rather than the written one. They haven't had one yet this year, and according to the law they have to have two of the traditional/formal ones a year.

It is still not LAW yet. Matter of time, but not yet. Also, almost all provisions of the bill require a date to be set by Governor In Council for it to go into effect, AND it would have to be published in the Gazette before it is law. Still some ways to go.

Small parts are sourced from Taiwan with the receivers cast in Quebec.
Most of their pistol line was Brazilian or Czech.

enough US parts and assembly to legally call it US made, but it is anything but US made in reality. Their polymer pistols are all Croatian manufactured, their 1911s are mostly Brazilian made, and their long rifles are sourced from Taiwan and other Asian sources, Canadian and Mexican parts and only assembled in the US.

The US sold the m14 tooling to China. If you buy a norinco you are buying an original m14. I’d you buy a Springfield you’re getting a hacked together rifle.

Buddy bought a Springfield while I went Norchinko.
My chamber was cut too deep so a replacement barrel was eventually needed but other than that it had better fit than his. Every bit as accurate and less sloppy at half the price.

Springfield uses cast receivers made in fucking quebec, but everything else is fine, unlike now you buy norinco you get Chinese MIM everything and your bolt locking lugs shear off in under 200 rounds. There's at least a few tripfags on the board (not this thread though) who own Springfield M1A rifles and they're perfectly happy with them.

Finally done my panic AR (almost)
Gonna put a foregrip on it so I don't blow my fingers off. Not sure about the stock though. I probably need an adjustable one cause I'm kinda a big guy, but might just get something the length of the buffer tube to keep it smol.

I read the reviews but I don't know anyone personally that has em, so I just gave up and bought one today

I'm shopping for barrels for a Stag-10 build, and so far I've seen 4 manufacturers:
>Ballistic Advantage
>Maple Ridge Armoury
>Faxon
>International Barrels Inc.
So far I'm leaning towards the Faxon Big Gunner or Maple Ridge Armoury Straight Fluted because they seem reasonably priced and are light-ish. Conversely, the IBI and BA barrels don't look as good to me because they're heavier by a 0.5-1lbs. Anyone got any recommendations or advice?

It depends on how it was restored and how much he fucked it up. I'd take it to a reputable gun shop to be checked over for a fee. Divide the cost with the boomer. $600 is a fine price for a K98.
