Hi guys, I noticed (once again) that I haven't come across any Bulpup rifle to date that I would have called actually beautiful. Not only the service rifles in 556, also as marksman rifles never really grew on me becaue they all look like they ve been restocked by fucking archangel... and that when even the EBR M14s have way better proportions and are just a Garand with a tacticool stock. Aug's look cheap to me, L85's have this cold war charme by now, but they are junk and just massive. I have some respect for the Famas, but I wouldn't pick it over, the most basic M16A2, ever.
Is there something with actually decent lines, a clean overall look and good proportions without looking like a supersoaker?

All bulpups and future bulpups will forever be ugly
This. Thankfully, bullpups are a passing fad.
I see what you mean, the design in full scale production is to new for wooden furniture as a baseline, modern design is obsessed with hexagons and rail systems while rarely having any decency in looks, the xm8 would be an exception.
ps90 checking in
bullpups rock. buttstocks are literally wasted space.
I think you just have shit taste.
To each his own.
>thinks the AUG looks cheap
Make up your mind about how polymers, hexagons and rails are used on guns. EBR-stocked M14's/M1A's are also needlessly (and hugely) front-heavy, OP. I just don't think you like bullpops and that's just your opinion and that's okay.
Looks like a supersoaker...
I think all polymer stocks look worse than the wood stocks they replace.
Apart from that the Aug just has a terrible design language, the stock optics just make it worse. You could do it right, like wit hthe XM8, but that's just hit or miss, I guess.
>I just don't think you like bullpops
I do like the concept of trading dead weight for barrel lenght, but then shit like left hand shooting incompatibility happened, or the french mags... and like I said, it's just incredible how much ugly can come out of one single design. And yes, I enjoy classic designs more, but I can't recall having seen a well done bullpup design yet. They all look terrible. And this thread still only containing the same 5 csgo and cod guns with some kids defending their Aug does not help me finding that possible oversight. Even tho I'm gonna give you that the Aug is nowhere the worst offender here.
AUG gang rise up
The unfortunate thing about the XM8 is that it's just a re-skinned G36, and unfortunately for those integrated optics they also ended up being terrible.
>ambidextrous capabilities
The bullpups that do not inherently offer this (namely the AUG) are 'fixed' with nothing more than a case deflector. The P90 (and PS90, which I've fired) is made for a specific purpose and manages to not have any of these issues. A compact weapon, completely ambidextrous, next to nothing that can possibly snag on gear, and to top it all off all brass is expended down at your feet. The bullpups that Kel Tec offers do not have ambidextrous issues either. Unfortunately for you, looking 'cheap' doesn't mean they don't function either.
I have a bigger problem with your complaints stemming from aesthetics and only when it's convenient for your argument do you bring up mechanical downsides inherent with different designs. Even worse, you reference CoD for the very same reasons. Fortunately for us bullpup posters, none of us are fixing to satiate your desire anyways.
for fuck sake, we all know this thing, point out some more obscure shit that might change minds here, if there is any.
Is there anything in the 762 or 338 range, maybe?
Very nice
>we must go bigger

Also, the M17S308 and RFB exist.
What would you rather get Aug or MDR?
Agreed, the Reflex is terrible by modern standards and they didn't improve it. HK should have switched the reflex sight mounting to picatinny way earlier and if the XM8 would have been adopted, supplied a picatinny to Pcap adapter to retain the veroing qualities of the idea wile opening it up for improving sights.
But HK surely didn't want to open their own little system up for competition and
if so the Bundeswehr would have had to really kick their door in something they just can't and won't want to do.
Apart from that Armed Forces don't tend to shop for accessories like civilians.
picrelated is wayyy worse irl.
I don't know why any minds need to be changed here,
the AUG is unironically one of the best bullpups out there,
and has remained that way since it was put into service in the 1970's.
Is it the best 5.56 service rifle ever made?
No, but it is by far one of the best choices when comparing it to some of it's other bullpup counterparts.
Have you ever shot an AUG, much less held one?
Since like said, it seems like most of your complaints are purely from an aesthetic viewpoint,
Personally I find the AUG to be sexy AF.
I don't trust the mdr to be reliable, but I like that it has .30 cal options
Where do you even buy a P90? All I can find are PS90s.
Fair enough,
the best of the worst.
Okay
You made that point.
I still don't like them. At all.
Can we move on now or should I just completely write bullpup off as overall worthless and a collective of the must unaesthetic firearms in existence?
Still looking in the direction of DMRs and higher caliber concepts...
>not liking Kel-tec bullpups
It's like you're gay or something user.
A-E-S-T-H-E-T-I-C
Where's your optic, magapede?
I'd be very temped to but a keltec if they would only stop making the fucking stocks look like nerf-gun quality held together with fucking phillips screws
They had such a good thing going with the M43 and then just mothballed it for no reason
FFL-07 and SOT-02.
>FFL-07 and SOT-02.
Duh, but if you have the proper licensing etc. where do you buy it.
I actually think the G36 with just the 4x magnified optic alone is one of the most aesthetically pleasing guns out there, though I blame Far Cry 2, and Insurgency Sandstorm. Too bad Sandstorm is utter fucking shit and runs even worse.
I heard the reflex was fucking tiny, too.
field strip it without a tool...
>literally 4 takedown pins that can be pushed in with a bullet
Everybody look at this retard who wasted trips and laugh.
Okay that's just cool, it's like a Hind, so god damn ugly that it's cool again, just blowing straight past G11 with this one.
I mean that as a genuine compliment btw.
Tf is this?
At that point you can make it, if you own such licensing and paperwork I would presume you are well vested in engineering of full auto design. Also ps90 gen1 and gen2 trigger packs are quite easily convertible.
ugly? non.
>I heard the reflex was fucking tiny, too.
Speaking of blindspots. It may have been on par in the 90s, keeping in mind it being a service rifle for a conscript army with dual sights as standard being quite the luxury, but it's over 25 years old by now and it shows. I wouldn't ever swap out the 4x, specially since everybody and their mom have had that little ranged shooting they had with this sight and I'd say it's still sufficient, but the reflex is just awful. It'S slow, in real life the red dot is huge, you have a hard time keeping the lenses clean since they are so tiny and sunk into the frame and I think it's also the widest part of the rifle.
CBRPS is the company that makes this kit. They have a TON of kits for different guns all with similar AESTHETICS. This one is Airshit, but utilizes a CBRPS platform.
I respect it exclusively because I don't want to hurt gun Jesus's feelings!
And maybe because it comes with a bipod and I'm a sucker for tacticool.
aesthetic gloves btw, are these standard issue?
Oh come on OP, you say the L85 is shit but have you ever even used one? HK redesigned the rifle and now it's reliable in the A2 config and the A3 makes it lighter and more accurate with free floating. Yeah, I've never used it but I'm sick of people constantly saying it's shit.
Bullpups are not a passing fad. Bullpups are an idea that simply makes guns shorter for the same barrel length, and with how small our m4 got from being a 20 inch M16 to 14.5 M4, there is a ever clearer need to have a smaller firearm. Bullpups make this really easy.
That's your opinion
HAI GUISE!!!!111!!!ONEONEELEVENONE
This whole thread is just retard noguns parroting the (wrong) opinions from Inrange
Get out of here hipster!
Just because it's mainstream doesn't mean it's corrupted.

big dick best bullpupper coming through. reminder that 5 moa is perfectly suitable for combat, god I love Israel. We have a biblical duty to protecc our IDF waifus and buy IWI.
The FAMAS is gorgeous, I'd love to own one some day. I can only imagine how space-age it must have seemed to people back in the 70's
All bullpups are great except the Tavor.
Bullpupchads revel in your superior dexterity over the physically handicapped brainlets ITT
this man is a Palestinian
Objection!
Newfag question.
How bad is mounting an optic on a carry handle?
I love carry handle aesthetics, but I'm worried about height over bore issues.
nice bait faggot
>the truth is bait
okay grugg
>he didn't get the Corvus Defensio rail with built-in ACOG mount
Ouchies.
no other aug in this thread has one, why you bully only me?
