30-30.
If you want a cartridge that's no more powerful than 7.62 x 39, but physically bigger than a .308, with expensive ammo with even more stupid lever guns. Be my guest.
Just trying to piss off all the levergun 30-30 hicks out there.

Id rather shoot a deer with an ugly Saiga import chambered in 7.62 x 39 than a levergun in 30-30 everyday.
When Winchester developed 30-30 in 1895 is was a formidable rifle cartridge.
Why are you shitting on it and comparing it to cartridges developed 50 years later?
You know Ford made the model A in 1927. It sucks compared to the Ford Fusion
.30-30 is gravy. I also push it well past saami specs.
Overrated? 6.5 Creedmore
.30 carbine
>30-30 is the same as 7.62x39
when will this meme die? It's a good round for a lever action rifle and has an extra 2-300 ft lbs of energy at the muzzle than x39 does.
"oh but it has better ballistic coefficient" who fucking cares, the average deer is shot at 50-100 yards max.
9mm, .45 acp, 5.56x45, 7.62x39, 7.62x54R, .308 win
just because it was great back then doesn't mean it's a good choice now, compared to other cheaper, more accurate, and lighter options.
what caliber isnt good for taking a deer shot at 50 yards? That's fucking child's play. I know people that hunt deer with a hi-point carbine in 10mm.
>9mm
Boring euroshit. The kind of person who owns a glock in 9mm drinks 1.7 mass market beers before fucking his starfish'd fat wife with her bra on.
>5.56
Should've gone with .280
>.30-06
luv 2 pay slightly more to get the same performance as a .308 because muh granpappy ww2
25 auto
>Most Overrated Caliber?
Talks about cartridges.
good choices. I only shoot 5.56 because that's the norm, and i only hunt with 30-06 because i got like 2000+ rounds of it inherited to me plus a sweet Ruger M77 from the 70s for free. 30-06 < .308. But free is free
you know what im talking about. i bet you also are a "magazine nazi"
well guess what dumb nigger, i call it what i want, clip, magazine, clipazine
.30-30 damages meat less than .308 or 7.62 x39.
Worst handgun rounds is .40 s&w.
Worst rifle round is 6.8 spc
I'm actually having a hard time thinking of a lower recoil way to have a 150gr brush gun. .300 Savage is close, but when's the last time you saw a modern production weapon chambered in that.
Look at this 1970 chevelle
It was great back thendoesn't mean it's a good choice now, compared to other cheaper, more accurate, and lighter options,
>Worst rifle round is 6.8 spc
Aw, I always thought of 6.8 as a slightly faster, sleaker 7.62x39.
Really? I would think it damages more because of the rounder tip.
People use 30-30 leverguns because they want to feel like a cowboy, let them have their fun. It just comes with an added bonus of being an adequate round to drop deer.
isnt't there a new 30 cal ruger for pennsylvaniafags and people who want what you describe
25-35 was better the entire time
>If you want a cartridge that's no more powerful than 7.62 x 39
you realize 30-30 came first, right you? moron
before 40 yards. And that increase in power for the 1st 40 yards don't justify carrying a 30-30 over a 7.62 M43. It's more expensive, heavier, physically bigger, and less accurate.
30-06 is 200-300 FPS more with proper loads.
>Gunblast
Is Jeff still alive? Unironically the best gun YouTuber
This inevitably comes up anytime someone mentions 30-06 vs. .308 performance, but this only applies to knowledgeable hand loaders. When it comes to saami specs (and by extension any factory load or published load data) 30-06 is virtually identical but more expensive and in a long action. It just doesn't make sense unless it's what you know or you just really want to learn it I guess
The only time anyone mentions 6.5 cm in anything but a passè tone it's people.claiming how over rated it is. It's an excellent cartridge and deserves the praise it gets
Wouldn't a cz527 be just as good in that respect? Pretty sure they're lighter too
All I ever hear is people shitting on 30-30.
>lever guns are stupid
gggggggggggeeeee' out
Oh shit, yeah. .35 Legend. 150gr at 2300fps. Forgot about that.
Max bullet weight you're going to see for 7.62x39 is 150gr, and it'll be going about the same velocity at 170-180gr .30-30. Projo selection is going to be better in .30-30 than the soviet stuff as well, especially if you're handloading. Finding good .311 bullets is a PITA.
>physically bigger than a 308
go away nogunz
>you know what im talking about.
Maybe the other user isn’t a mind reader. Maybe you should learn to make clear, unambiguous statements. The other user was responding to your statement, not your intent. Or is this one of those things where words mean whatever you want them to mean? Are we having a definition-fluid thread?
> i bet you also are a "magazine nazi"
And I suspect you’re a “newfag”. Here’s a question for you; this is obviously a bait thread, so why are you getting triggered when anons call you on your retardation? Isn’t that the point of the thread, to feed (you)s to your ego?
You obviously don't have enough money to buy anything other then a shitty ak and therefore must cope by spouting shitty regurgitated opinions. My advice is to grow a pair and stop giving a shit what other people think/do. The gun community is under attack enough as is. We don't need bitchy infighting. Shit like this is worse then fudd think.
I would disagree and say 7.62x39 is the most overrated.
So, you’re saying you’re a poorfag manlet with bad eyesight?
He meant the cartridge not the bullet
>6.5cm
What's wrong with abreviating creedmoor?
>6.5cm
>cm
>65mm
Creedmore is not a light antitank round.
