The first one was cool, being a contained albeit heavily stylists man vs Russian mob film. The rest have gone over the top and the universe sucks, but the tactics and aesthetics are still good. Collateral did it better.

This, its been gettin cringier and cringier especially with things like that operator room staffed with rockabilly trannies

first one was alright, didn't need a sequel. Just got too retarded, like having a stylish network of assassins with their own internal currency is one thing, but having there be thousands of them everywhere having gunfights in crowds is too far and just ends up lame. Suffers from the same problem the Raid did, where its like oh we're doing this shit again huh? When everything was resolved in the first movie.

I kinda like the whole "The Warriors" direction. John Wick vs the baseball gang, please.

Pretty sure they’re trying to portray that the underworld is populated by freaks.

I still enjoy it far more than other Hollyshit. But that fucking suppressor shot off in the Oculus was cringe.

I like them. Entertaining stuff.

The first and third were appreciably better than the middle one. My main issue is how John Wick only uses 3-gun weapons when other loadouts would make so much more sense.

>I need to assassinate a woman making a scheduled appearance in an open air event
Very good. Would you like a full-sized rifle with amazing optics, integrated kestrel, and appropriate camouflage gearing Mr. Wick?
>No, give me an AR, a shotgun I can icepick load, and a pistol
I see... would sir still require transportation or gearing?
>I probably won't need a getaway vehicle, just give me one of those magic, bulletproof suits and I'll be on my way.
Very good sir

Stop making these threads please

I really am looking forward to the third one. I honestly just lurk these threads for spoilers. I already know the pen is mightier than the sword whatever. I probably just like halle berrie movies when I get a chance to watch them. Unless you told me she used a pencil as a sounding rod, I'd probably want to watch the recent one until I heard that.

Why?

They’re kinda different films though. JW is trying to establish its own sort of unique comic-booky universe with the criminal underworld aspect of it while Collateral is trying to be gritty and realistic.

Based

This. JW has a heightened reality to its universe, and, honestly, that universe's story is just set dressing to the action showpieces. It's also a treat for competitive shooters to see that gunplay on the big screen.

Never heard of them.

You only rember it because you got weirdly aroused.

They're kung fu movies with guns. So pretty cool.

I like them a lot. They are really fantastic action movies and you can tell the actors know what they are doing with firearms. Of course there's that infamous one-handed press check scene that inspired a bunch of instagram tacticool faggotry, and that suppressor fight was pure cringe, but overall the gunplay is excellent.
I think the first entry is still the best film, but both sequels have done a good job of continuing the story and they haven't totally jumped the shark yet.
Now how many of you faggots have seen Atomic Blonde? It belongs in the same universe as John Wick.

first one was a pretty good action movie
3rd one (and I assume second) was literally
3-gun: the movie

that being said it's still cool to see realistic firearms handling in a movie even if it's pulled from competitive shooting

The first was good.
The second was okay. It gave up world building and a bit of logic
The third was okay. It was basically a very violent comedy movie.

Hey man, when you’re gonna assassinate someone in a controlled organization who even has deep roots with law enforcement, you may as well leave a brand for notoriety or popularity with other criminal groups (Like how serial killers have their own brand of murdering someone like it was their signature on a flesh canvas). Whole thing imo was in case shit goes south, which to be fair, happened as a result of entertainment value.

i think they were ok

The first one was neat, the rest are boring and kinda lame.

That scene was so fucking good, Jesus Christ!

1 had "good" overall revenge plot and concept.
2 had the better fights and set pieces.
3 was....more of 2 but with an even weaker plot and the fighting got a bit depleted towards the end obvious set ups for future media.
While I appreciate the world building, the series has gotten more silly.

Enjoy your ban

More like it was just a distracting eye roll, could have been done in a much cooler way, like how the warriors did with the radio host lady only showing her lips

what does this movie have against dicks.

>What does Jow Forums think of the John Wick movies?

I'm happy I only saw the 1st. I DLed the 2nd, but I don't think I'm going to watch it...Even the 1st, while not bad, had pretty over the top shit, that I haven't found amusing since I grew out of my teenage years.

Because we have a new John Wick thread every day?

Haven't seen any of them but like didnt the premise wear pretty thin after the first one?

Aren't they just really dragging it out at this point?

Atomic Blonde was pretty fun.
Satisfied my degenerate ryona fetish seeing Charlize Theron getting thrown around like a ragdoll. If they made a another I'd watch it.

First one is one of the best action movies the past 20 years. The other two are just alright

Yeah it's from the co-director of the first John Wick. The soundtrack is peak 80s and that stairway fight scene is pure Jow Forumsino

It was pretty enjoyable.

>The third was okay. It was basically a very violent comedy movie
Literally my impression. The scenes where he gets pushed through 8 or so consecutive glass cases was pure comedy material.

Not to mention Zero, the sushi chef ninja assassin who plays kyary pamyu pamyu j-pop songs in his stall, spouts cheesy japanese one liners and acts like a massive fanboy. That guy looked like he had a ton of fun during shooting.

It's trash

So true it hurts

John wick one made me fall for the p30 while collateral gave me a hard on for usp.
