Airguns aren't always toys

You're telling me a full auto .30 cal rifle with the fpe of a .32 acp is belongs in /toy/?
Fuckouttahere

Fucking sexy ass airgun imo. Thing has minimal recoil, you can see in Caselmans videos he can easily draw straight lines and even a spiral pattern with the bullet spray. Sex.

I've been working up plans to make one from mostly off the shelf airgun parts, for simplicity and due to a lack of machining equipment. I made my last airgun with just a drill press, dremel and hand tools.

My first prototype is gonna look funky... for simplicity sake, again. But it'll allow me to tune the design and figure out a good bolt weight, etc. then I can work on moving the pistol grip over to encase the magazine. That'll require a whole new trigger set up so that can wait. Most important thing is to make a bullet hose to LARP with atm, tbqhfamalam

Magazine is next to the grip, and the breech/barrel isn't in line with the grip, it's next to the receiver tube. Which could make recoil feel weird but it should be minimal anyway.

>t. seething airshit

Mocked up a magazine the other day. Not sure I can find a good long spring like I need for cheap. Most springs at Lowes are tension springs so I did this for now. I could conceal it under another section of extrusion, probably on the other side. This makes me want to start playing around with building other types of magazines...

Post more plans OP.

Legit.

Silent, full auto...
Large mag.

McMaster Carr my nigga

Also if you plan on using pellets (pic related) keep in mind that lead is very soft so the spring tension alone is enough to deform the projectile.

I'm using hollow point .300 slugs instead of diablo style pellets, They're still soft but have much more surface area to distribute the pressure on, unlike skirted pellets. Caselman used similar.

Here is my last .30 cal, kind of Metro/Fallout inspired. Gonna hang a bigger carbon fiber bottle under the (detachable) stock eventually and run a hose to the forward bottle. Might make the (currently integral) suppressor removable to make it take down to backpack size. Gotta strip and stain the grip or get a new one because the color didn't match how it was advertised. Still gotta clean up the wood shoulder piece too...

I'm saving up for a Quackenbush Outlaw .58 PCP pistol. Might mod the breech and 3d print a 4 shot magazine for it.

As is it holds 3 pretty consistent full power shots of air, with double cylinders 6 should be attainable. Looks like an easy mod.

This .50 cal supposedly can do 400 fpe.
Where are you Rakemaan????? Shoulda been selling these years ago, fuck

Can you recharge the cylinders to full pressure/capacity with an ordinary air compressor?

>Full auto .30 cal with fpe of .32 acp

Link pls

No, you need a high pressure air pump. I have a hand powered one like a bike pump, but Airventuri makes little 12v pumps you can fit in your backpack now. Or you can use a scuba pump, or a booster pump, or fill a bulk tank at your local paintball shop, etc.

Was replying toJust google it, Caselmans plans are all over the web. Mikescustomweaponry built one and he says one of the measurements is off, check his blog

Do burning gasses count as air ;^) ?

No.

You are getting the propellant and the cycling mechanisms confused.

>just a joke

You reminded me to mention these: pre-charged pneumatic cartridges... mini air cylinders! Similar to a scaled up Brocock cartridge. AEA sells them now but Innovairtech was trying to put them into production when they were around, they claimed you could get 600fpe from their .50 cal, and it was semi-auto. Pic related around the size of a .50 cal shell

We know, air rifles are rifles. Air SOFT is gay and you should know the difference.

Anything smaller than 9mm belogs on /toy/ anyway, user.

Attached: 1550064149468.jpg (1018x1024, 100K)

interesting. blokeontherange had something similar but for practice only. Fired plastic projectiles. I imagine these in a lever action would be a ton of fun.

You should power it from a scuba tank if it's gonna be FA, and you're not taking that thing out on extended trips, but it could be neat

>.32ACP
Yep, that's basically a toy.

That's actually kinda sexy.
Gives me a pulp scifi sort of vibe.
Post more
>ribbed for her pleasure

So how do you shoulder it?

Using the canister as a stock, I'd guess.

That's how swat officers typically use theirs when they're launching CS pellets but those things are built specifically to he used that way, I don't know if the linkage in OP would be strong enough

Anyone have advice on how to handle the liability of people suing me once someone gets shot by one of these?

FML that's a big load of lead. I heard he runs that thing on Nitrogen too. Must kick like a mule
This .72 cal from XP airguns probably does too. ~1000fpe

Attached: images.jpg (238x211, 8K)

That's not even the heaviest bullets, the mold is adjustable. The big ones in this picture, biggest it will make, are 2422gr, or just over 5.5 ounces.

Attached: airgun_projectiles_20mm.jpg (2272x3029, 1.02M)

i'm guessing this will freeze up like a paintball gun from using CO2 rather than air

Airsoft is for faggots and my mom says faggots go to hell.
