Lurk more, faggot

Fuck domestic LEO agencies, but foreign Intelligence agencies can get into some Jow Forums tier shenanigans.

Based CIA dropping weapons caches throughout europe for stay behind neo nazis, recruiting ex militants and enemy combatants to serve in the military, and even giving a gifted gunsmith an exemption from the NFA itself so he could work on MGs withour paperwork in New York City.

People need to learn the difference between infiltrator no funs intelligence agencies, and 'here's some drugs and machine guns' agencies. Especially tinfoiltards who can't even get the color of the beret of Army Special Forces right and says Delta is Blue Berets.

Opinion and opinion.... there is a line of development here and it crosses the agency lines. I will assume it is USA we are talking about.

Pre ww2 the intelligence gathering was extremely limited. There was a little military research and that was it. There was great interest in deciphering codes. On the civilian area you had FBI which was about as crude as a can opener, and basically tried to chase down major criminals who had neither mob nor political buddies.

Come WW2, and the big thing was OSS which educated foreigners in the art of spying and sabotage on the LEGO level. This sent intel to USA and a lot of foreigners to the execution squads after thorough torture.

CIA was founded in 1947, in recognition that most of the interesting stuff in the world happened outside US borders and so left FBI useless. The LEGO level of spying escalated, sending far more foreign CIA spies into torture and execution since surprisingly, KGB and other foreign agencies were also looking for spies. The next 10-15 years were full of dead spies on both sides, until it was mutually agreed that killing a known spy meant an unknown spy would take his place. From there the upgrade was mostly in technology but otherwise kind of a stalemate between east and west. Much of the real action turned to South America; here was ample need for throat cutters and drink poisoners as amateur hawks on both sides vyed for local power. CIA won, but it tarnished the glory of diplomatic USA considerably. Class study: Air America.

Then the USSR went poof, everyone had a happy, and then a new evil stirred in the darkness. Oh, islamic fanatics wasn't anything new, but them being funded by extremely wealthy notatallSaudi backers meant things got sophisticated. Which was a disaster for CIA, who were still in Cold War mode. Oh, supporting the mujahedeens against the Russians were an obvious step. Choosing Bin Laden as their poster boy was a mistake.

Knowledge is power. Power corrupts. Absolute power corrupts absolutely. Absolute knowledge...

By the time 9/11 arrived, some things were changing. For better or worse depend on the eye that sees. CIA who had for six decades relied on the old boys network of local guys from the bars of Cairo, Berlin, Tokyo etc were really getting into the computer stuff. Marvellous way to pile bigger and bigger piles of data, but you still needed to mine it. And all the computer guys, maintenance guys, engineers and techs and the servers themselves were cutting into the budgets. So much that the old boys network got older and older and more alcoholized. Worse, the access to the growing ranks of jihadists was a very different thing to achieve than a a card to the VIP sections of the clubs.

Eventually CIA, overburdened and perhaps not ideally led, were sidetracked by the long anonymous NSA. NSA had been doing some very wonderful things without getting much attention. Like the Echelon system, which listens to all cross-Atlantic communication. These guys were a lot better than CIA at data mining, but the boots on the ground weren't there. And with CIA and NSA competing, the cooperation may not be ideal either.

One other thing that happened after 9/11 was Homeland Security. Basically every agency in the US with a badge is part of this. Imagine 20 cooks cooperating on making a hot dog with fries.... But there is more to it. A lot of funding has been shifted to support the HS, and for instance FBI is now spending a LOT more time looking for internal and external terrorists and less on hunting common criminals which was what they were supposed to be doing. All that infilitration of right wing 'militias' isn't cheap, you know.

cont

Opinion? If some terrorists come out of a time machine from the 1970s and land on US soil, they are dead meat. Todays ISIS and Al Quaida terrorists know every tool the agencies use and plan and execute accordingly. If they want there to be a big bang and many dead, it will happen. Probably won't because ISIS and AQ have bigger troubles than USA now. Don't worry about them. Worry about the next wave oh jihadists. The bunch with Wahhabi backers, proper IT staff and former ISIS fighters as ground troops. Whatcha gonna do? Bomb their headquarter in Mecca?

Fuck the CIA and all glowniggers

OSS was infiltrated with Soviet spies and bequeathed the shitshow to the CIA. DIA knew this. NSA didn't, but humint increasingly < sigint per Moore's law.

The unspoken story of the last 10 years is why the CIA was so distrustful of the NSA. All IC institutions try to keep it in-house, but the CIA was unique for unique reasons.

General contempt and a healthy distrust.

I FUCKING KNEW THE GOVERNMENT WAS THE REASON MY LEGO HOUSES KEPT BREAKING THEM BASTARDS WERE SABOTAGING THEM

>People need to learn the difference between infiltrator no funs intelligence agencies, and 'here's some drugs and machine guns' agencies.
So much this. The FBI, ATF and NSA are all about preventing fun while CIA are unfettered hedonistic master race. They attract the best and brightest to fuck with niggas for no reason at all.

>Based CIA dropping weapons caches throughout europe for stay behind neo nazis
The more i read about Gladio, the more confused i get. What is the fucking point.

Imagine what kind of fun SAC's (formerly SAD) SOG gets up to. I bet it's some kino shit.

>they attract the best and brightest
>CIA

Not in 30 years, user. They attract sheltered UMC betas who fell for the "Ivy dominated CIA" meme of the 1980s.

I'm in Norway. We had some caches here, as part of the Stay Behind groups. Basically the CIA picked moderately wealthy, well connected 'pillars of the commmunity' and parked some crates of goodies there. In case of a communist take over those noble few were to arm themselves then attack key logistic soft point. Then run as FUCK before the light went on.

The guys got older, CIA lost interest, and then one day ot was just a tourist attraction

In the glory days, absolutely. Now? I highly doubt it.

>DIA knew this
And shit the bed regardless

I get that, but was Nazis really the only guys who would stand up to incoming Communism? Or was general conservative/patriots also armed?

I feel like you just increased all our threat matrixes by posting such picture. Also why even post, if you don't want to participate in the discussion?

If they're not torturing shitheads on American soil at this very moment, they're dead to me.

For any glow niggers monitoring this thread accept my application please I speak multiple languages thanks

>Especially CIA?
Good at what they do. However they are a tool of a politician. So they probably: get muzzled from being as effective as they could be, get drawn (wittingly and unwittingly) into dishonest behavior, and have blame shifted onto them that they don't deserve.

If you want to know more you should check out Robert gate's book: "from the shadows" he was a 25 year CIA veteran and former director of intelligence during the cold war. It's really interesting.

You needed 4 year degree of some kind

They live permanently in 4D chess mode. You pose zero threat.

I'll give you 4 years of degrees up your ass.

Good luck with your shit covered diploma

useless cunts that create way more problems than they solve.

Tell me about the NRO, why do they wear the mask?

It’s creepy that they’re just people in large parts of it. I live in NoVa so spooks are a common occurrence. Hell, the church alone I went to had a priest who was FBI and carried during mass while the guy who ran CCD for the church kids is ex CIA. (He worked on computers there, I don’t know anything else)

In ye ancient times they were a big deal because they had the only sats, and sats were big bucks.

Since the late 90s/early 00s they're bureaucrats trying to hold on to a dying, obsolete monopoly.

Their satellites are still good quality tho.

Military intelligence was crushed down in the early 50s. They're competent (more than the CIA, today) but they've never regained the political power they lost back then.

>CIA?

I finally found out what a glow nigger is

some weirdo typed that phrase on some computer games years ago and it went viral

Any good movies or documentaries about CIA and other spooks?

Bump

Thanks for your opinions. All very interesting, mostly.
Is it true that they only employ people with university?
Also, would it be possible for someone working in such place,to communicate with someone on social media of any kind?
What is a handler?

>What is a handler?
A station chief. Directs field agents and provides support if possible.

Would a handler ever contact a regular normal citizen,if yes, what would be the reason?

henlo mafia frens

henlo controlled [opposition] frends

they are taking wei too long to recruit me

Generally most “conservative” people aren’t going to start waging an insurgency against a powerful military force, you need the more extreme elements of the right who have the balls to carry out cut throat attacks. That could be neo-Nazis, nationalists, anarchists, etc.

I don't get you. Stay Behind were upper middle class to starter-pack upper class. Led by people from the Resistance who had FOUGHT the nazis during the occupation, and who now had leading jobs in the army and the civilian administration while at the same time being well connected in the new postwar socialist government. My cat is more nazi than these guys were.

As for the rest - Norway has always been armed to its teeth. Today we have a 5 million population, with one million registered guns between us. Maybe another million unregistered ones. Mostly shotguns, pistols and bolters but we have them. And probably some full auto funs that got misplaced when the Germans placed them on the ground and marched south in 1945. And some Stens from the heaps that were airdropped from England, and some PPSHes from Stalin and some M2 Carbines from USA and so on.

But the heyday of the Stay Behind period also had a Home Guard. Like the National Guard, except these guys were led by Resistance leaders and were meant to be guerillas. At that time there were 150.000 of them, and they had their k98s and then AG3s at home along with ammo and uniforms. Activation time: 2 hours. Not bad for a population the size of Brooklyn.

I have Robert E. Crumpton's "The Art Of Intelligence." A worthwhile read on the modern history of CIA.

Its a shame the threat of communism and the gun grabbing elite are trying to disarm us so bad now.

I want to live in a hyper militarized europe that still had tens or hundreds of millions of small arms alloted for all levels of social strata from military to quick civilian militia units.

*threat of communism is gone*

theyre the best thing to ever happen

I was in the army during the Glasnost events. One late night during an exercise the officers brought us news from the very top: "It has been determined that the danger of war is now so low that tonight we can dispense with the sentries and just have fire guards." That brought things into perspective.

They were big shit for a long time, but I think that a lot of its being phased out and the NGA/Air Force Intelligence are the major players as far as space goes. Private companies like DigitalGlobe are already offering extremely high resolution Imagery. Though I guess there's no way of knowing the full power of the NRO unless you have a clearance with them.

Thanks I'll have to check that out
