mini 14 if im not mistaken

arr there be a shitstorm a brewin

>image literally named mini 30
You're dumb and unobservant

its a FAMAS

Proprietary ruger factory magazines are expensive. Like $40-$50 per magazine
Pro mag and aftermarket magazines are less, but some people complain about reliability with aftermarket

Irons suck Doo Doo

>What can you tell me about it?
I can tell you that you really like the design of this gun. What more do you need to know? The exact date it was made? If any of the employees gave it a nickname? You already know it is more expensive and less durable with comparatively few aftermarket options. If you still like it, get it. It's your money, so it's your choice. Just stop bringing your stupid decisions to us, we aren't your fucking parents.

you can get factory 20s for around $30 pretty regularly online
use gun.deals to find em

there are two major series for these rifles
current production have a serial starting with 58x and a tapered barrel and protective wings for the front sight
older models have a serial starting with 18x and a straight barrel profile

if you're going to get a 18x series Mini-14, get a GB model (police model) with a bayonet lug and flash hider and all that good stuff

these are great rifles if you understand that they are not an AR-15
an AR-15 is a "better" gun for the price, but if you want a wood stocked mini-garand/m14 then get it
they're plenty reliable, reasonably accurate, have decent triggers, and they are fun as shit

Nice aesthetics. Doesn't look like a dangerous gun. Overpriced. Meh/10 accuracy, trigger, manual of arms. Doesn't take standard AR/AK mags. Only rare/expensive factory mags seem to work.

Its a pretty decent gun but heat as always can be an issue if you care. 100 rounds ofc will make it hot and I had a lot of manufacturing issues (stripped screws, bent trigger guard) but other than that I like it.

I replaced the hand grip on mine as well as got the easier to adjust peep sight. was around 80 bucks in total.

Do YOU actually like it or do the bull and your wife's son like it, cuckstater?

$35 for 30 round factory mags and $25 for 20 round factory mags.
This. You have to replace the rear sight immediately as the pins holding the sight in come loose after 100 or so rounds. I picked up some tech sights for $70

Why the fuck couldn't Ruger do STANAG mags for those fuckers?

Pretty much this. They're fine guns, but not an AR.

I paid $400 for mine and really enjoy it. It's something you buy for the feels, not the objective performance.

>Proprietary ruger factory magazines
Which is stupid. I totally understand the Mini-14 having proprietary magazines, but this thing really should take AK mags, which have plenty of "hunter friendly" 10 and 20 rounders available.

Literally because of Bill Ruger being the biggest Fudd who ever lived.

Absolutely no other reason.

Made in the 70s I think so the concept of AR mags becoming so commonplace along with AR-15s themselves was a bit much for 90% of people back then

I’ve heard the Mini30’s bolt will smash and potentially damage the receiver.

They would have to heavily redesign the receiver, which means they would have to almost completely redo the molds for the castings.

It's never been a question of why River doesn't redesign a $700 gun for $7 mags, it's a question of why no decent company makes inexpensive mags

You're fucking retarded of that's what you actually believe
