Is disassembling an AKs bolt pretty easy? Just punch out a pin for the extractor and another for the firing pin? Put about 700 rounds through my wasr and wondered if I should break it down and clean it. Haven't had any problems with it, but I baby my guns desu, clean them Everytime after i get done shooting.

The SAR I might roll over to polymer and do a side mounted optic, then a second AK I'm just going to play around with and it'll end up like this, I just have to settle on a muzzle and flashlight. The stock is really the only minimalist stock that works imo, it doesn't hook inward or have a bunch of "webbing," the tube doesn't have unnecessary designs in it like dimples or swirls; just simple and gnarly-looking.

I haven't cleaned mine on my wasr yet, but it's only had about 700 rounds through it. I would probably clean it about every 500-1000 rounds, but that's just my personal preference. If you haven't cleaned it yet, and have shot your ak a lot, if probably give it a scrubbing.

PSAK is at the moment equivalent to a 2008 WASR, surrounded by superior options, but recently overcoming the shitshow major issues that have killed its reputation while working on the QC needed to make it consistently good.

No...? Where did you hear that? I would say milled isn't necessarily any better or worse than stamped. Milled was just the earlier method of producing receivers since the stamping technology in the USSR was not advanced enough in 1947 to produce stamped receivers on a large scale.

That little note is just referencing that milled receivers dont do anything better or different than stamped besides be heavier and have less furniture options. All things considered a milled receiver would be tougher than a stamped but 99% of people arent using or tossing their rifle around enough for it to matter, and you'll certainly go through a plethora of parts (if not all of them) before your receiver needs replaced

How difficult do you think it would be to make a folding wood stock? I've seen pictures of them, wouldn't you just take the buttplate hardware and hinge hardware off and fit it to some wood? I'd love to have some wood on my 107fr

What’s your opinion on the xtech mags? They seem pretty rugged, but I hated their look at first. It’s grown on me though.

I have one along with some US Palms. Really fucking strong magazine, better than the Palm in almost every way. Only thing I would change is I wish they kept the angled corner from the US mag cause it really helped with dongs/foregrips

Its worth buying, useful, and reliable. Its not top of the line and doesnt have many of the features that arsenals have or historical significance like many of the more expensive AKs in the pastebin.

So when I'm using, say, appliance epoxy to finish my rifle, do I apply it to just the receiver or the barrel components too? Should the metal be bare or is there a treatment that must be applied beforehand?

Also, any tips on demilling barrel components?
