M9A1 is good because it has the rail and checkering that the 92fs doesn't have.
HOWEVER!!! You can't replace the front sight on the M9A1. Wilson combat used to mil them out for fiber optics but they don't do that anymore.
Which is why you should get the 92A1. It has replaceable front sights as well as the rail. Not sure if it has the checkering but trust me that fiber optic sight OR night sights are going to go a long way.
Or you can just get the 92X or M9A3.

Also some upgrades to consider is Wilson Combat Ultra thin grips and short reach trigger with the D spring with an EFK firedragon compensated barrel and tritium front and rear sights on a 92A1.
I ran this set-up for a bit and it was perfect.

Whichever one costs less because they are literally the same thing minus a rail that you can install yourself and a recoil spring placed a little differently IIRC. That being said M9A1 has fixed sights, just something to keep in mind.

Yep, don't forget that the M9A1 also has agressive checkered texturing and a FLAT trigger guard as well as a flared magazine well. Also I believe the trigger on the M9A1 is actually a polymer coated trigger on top of a metal skeletonized trigger. Where as the 92fs just has a polymer trigger.
