im not even joking. the equivalent smith products i can find are the 60, the 640, and the compensated models 586 and 19. the first two derez your hand shooting 357's and the second two are top-of-the-line rare designer models that cost over 1000 and also weigh over 40 oz loaded.

sp101 frame is forged also. it's also heavier so handles recoil better. but yeah it doesn't have as good a trigger and is missing a round.

I'm a huge smithfag but these revolvers are really nice. The problem is that kimber only offers a 1 year warranty while both ruger and S&W are lifetime. Kimber is a poorly run company imo. Like sig they suck as a company but have some nice designs.

As far as compact .357's go, they really can't. And I love Ruger. The K6S seems like a super nice gun.

It's not, but it doesn't really matter at all. An SP101 is more durable than a K-frame, despite being smaller. You certainly seem hear of them going out of time far less.
