It would unironically be a group of mathematicians (math is universal, language is not), anthropologists, linguists etc and a protection detail.

It would be one of the dullest units to be in, because you would be a brainlet body-watcher following some science bois around while they do boring AF science things.

I forgot to say
>there would be a bunch of 38B niggers too

Weren't they under AFSOC in the show?

god damn I wish she was mine...

so it would be like in antartica with the soilders ?

Maaaaan fuck stargate being real. I want me one of these.

Until you get raped by some foreign space bacteria or murdered by furlings or something.

>if
oof

UNSCHEDULED OFFWORLD ACTIVATION

this show any good? never got around to seeing it

pretty much

It would probably start out like that and then progress into something resembling the SGC in the show. It would only take one team getting skullfucked by natives before we started giving them armed and heavily trained security.

Probably Green Berets since they're well versed in interacting with foreign locals and they're not just braindead door kickers.

>if star gate 1 was real who were the people doing sg1 be?
Green Berets without a doubt. They have the most varied skill set of all the Special Operations groups.

I liked it, they killed it just as it was gettin real good tho.

Civil Affairs with specific medical and technical specialists (linguists, microbiologists, allied science personnel, etc) based on missions

it would be garandthumb

They would pull personnel from all branches, based on a psych analysis.

The airforce actually does have a stargate program. The movie and show are clearly made to misdirect us.

It's called plausible deniability
They address it in the show too with Wormhole X-treme
Really makes you think

If it was rely misdirection then the Marines would be the ones with the program while everyone thinks it is the Air Force. Just think how easy it would be for the Navy to say they have a ship that did not exist which turns out to be a complete money pit allowing the funds to be diverted elsewhere.

It would be the Space Force obviously you're all retarded
Did you forget we had a new branch just for shit like this now?

What is the official firearm of the spaceforce?

>Space Force
>new branch
No we don't we have satellites and a revamped 1980's Regan Star Wars program.
>ree yes we do have a space force
Ok, please show me a recruiting station for the Space Marines....

>1980's Regan
Reagan

The P90 of course

space operations are the exclusive domain of the Air Force, per congressional mandate.
The "Space Force" that everyone keeps talking about will almost certainly just end up being a joint forces command reorganisation like the creation of SOCOM did in the 80s.
We've actually been seeing this for a while, with the 14 AF being designated the Joint Forces Component Command- Space, or smaller organic units being augmented with sister service personnel like at the Joint Space Operations Center at Vandenberg

>murdered by furlings
don't you talk shit about the furlings, they've literally done nothing wrong

Probably a bunch of scientists.
Possibly with some weapons and tactics proficiency.
It's going to be easier for a scientist to learn what a soldier knows, than for a soldier to learn what a scientist knows.

God I want to impregnate her.

Yea probally just the airforce except using highly modded assult rifles instead of p90's and handheld surface to air missile launchers.

Man, I remember this but I have no idea what it's from.

Source?

have you considered inspecting the post that one replied to?

Yeah I guess it was from X-Files but can't find the episode.

What's this from?

Fucking nostalgia boner. I'll paint the fucking wall if someone posts some Farscape next.

too goofy for Jow Forums but obligatory post.

Attached: bestscape.webm (432x320, 2.95M)

kek wtf

watch farscape

Nah, if that were the case they woulda trained a bunch of nerds to fly like big dick test pilot jocks during the space race.
The physical and mental stress in something like this is huge, especially expecting a studious independent minded nerd to suddenly act like a physically imposing follows orders at all costs soldier
What they did during the space race was find the best pilot jocks they could, and tell the jocks just what they needed to know to get useful science data out of them when they were piloting the rockets and walking on the moon
That’s probably what they’d do if needed again

no wonder you grew up to be a tranny if that’s what you watched as a kid

watching hot bitches on tv is not what makes trannies, guy.

that was body horror with ugly niggers wearing makeup and big needles
if that is what you call hot bitches then it’s no wonder you grew up to be a tranny, your juvenile brain was damaged by watching body horror

Episode is 731.

>murdered by furlings
This is how we know you never watched it.

>they killed it just as it was gettin real good tho
Ironically, it was really meant to finish around season 8 or so, the Ori etc was supposed to be a spin-off series but they didn't think it would be successful on its own so they rewrote it as an SG1 story with a new lead.

>would it be delta or would it be green berets or some other group if so what tier would they be ?
You'd only use tier 1s for it but they'd all be cross-trained in stupid shit that you'd never need earth-side.
Whatever you used, they'd be units that are currently used in training/raising local resistance/COIN forces, because 1st contact would be a daily occurrence so you'd use the culturally sensitive types who can live amongst goat fuckers without losing their shit.

>this show any good?
It does a good job of showing humans recovering and exploiting alien technology and developing counter-measures to commonly encountered alien tech. That doesn't always go according to plan but the human R&D basically never stops working and the show has a real tech progression through it which is reasonably (for scifi anyway) realistic.
p90s remain king though but they devote an episode to explaining why the p90 is a superior weapon to a staff blaster.

E.G. At one stage they start using a portable steam launch to send UAVs through the gate as recon and local CAS. It's a "save the day" moment when it first happens then becomes a fairly standard response to a team pinned down or when they're doing SAR for a missing team etc.
It was pretty kino when an entrenched Jafar position gets taken out by a hellfire, even if they used a visible red-dot laser to do it.

>needles
user.... thats not what it's for.
dilation
I see and AUG and maybe a calico but what do they have back left?

A female character people won't birch about because she was well written.

Odd how manchildren who grew up with these shows don't mind those female characters but hate all the newer ones...

leave no one wants you here we are talking about operators not some woman that played a roll on tv

>You're part of a elite special forces units going to other worlds.
>You get an AUG.
>And then you guys get some shotguns dressed up to look like a FAMAS.
>..and you get the .22lr calico.

he believes the official narrative of antarctica, oh boy

It would be this except it would be no name expendable DARPA/DoD employees and Mercs and no one would find out about until 25-30 years later when some sad widow freedom of information act's the feds about her missing husband for the low low price of 1.5 million USD

Probably just like the Ecologist or Clear Sky faction from STALKER.

It's OK user. I know you're sad you never got to grow up in the golden age of Sci fi TV in the late 90's and 2000's. These shows were the root of my gun obsession.

Into the trash it goes.

SHIT SHIT SHIT
CLOSE THE IRIS
SHUTTER THAT WINDOW

>group of mathematicians

Wrong. Not even hippie Starfleet does that. They send in redshirts first. The US military would first send soldiers to recon the area. After it's secure, then they would send the scientists in.

>dullest units

Until your team of college professors get gang raped and eaten by primitives.

daniel looked more like a soilder then jack or telc did, the dude was ripped

Attached: a19b509dc4dd0992bee9b53acea85f21.jpg (600x600, 36K)

Dude got ripped by the end of the show. You should see pics of him on Burn Notice.

I presume you're talking about the Terminator show.
It had its ups and downs but generally was pretty good. Mostly it was a plot thread generator but the plot hole is that if all this other crab was going on then it stands to reason there would be even more stuff set up that the connors could not track down and deal with.
It has some fantastic moments like the chick terminator taking a huge piece of shrapnel to the head and reverting to kill-john programming. And the consequences when an fbi raid on a phony fbi agent terminator happens.

Lena Heady was good but I think the chick who played nina myers on 24 would have been better for playing sarah. Also they definitely should Not have had her do the end-episode narrations.

>no tits

Ok dude. You can have Amy Anderssen.

How did he do this scene and not have a hard on?

>they devote an episode to explaining why the p90 is a superior weapon to a staff blaster.
Which? Also, I want one of those snake guns.

I certainly prefer the fashions that were around back then- they look much sexier to me than yoga pants and some of the other crap women wear today. To make things Jow Forums approved with my post, do you think the air force would manage to reverse engineer and reproduce the weapons they encountered? As another user said, those snake guns were awesome- one shot to incapacitate, a second to kill, a third to make the body disappear. Perfect for covert operations.

Attached: 1536318615873.jpg (736x736, 45K)

>a third to make the body disappear
I think they dropped that a season after introducing it because all the writers thought it was retarded

>Also, I want one of those snake guns
The Zats.
SG1 tended to carry a few around with them in later episodes because they're just really useful.

Careful. Early 00s was when ugg boots took off. Also, white pants were popular again for a couple years. White pants are alright in theory, but they become awful with wear. There was also that stupid trend about having pant legs long enough, that they'd walk on them and rip them up.

now look what you've done

Attached: serveimage.jpg (432x500, 21K)

>And the consequences when an fbi raid on a phony fbi agent terminator happens.

Who didn't see that ep and figure Man Comes Around is the track to play while dick stomping an FBI SWAT team?

>chick who played nina myers on 24

Hmm, Sarah Clarke might have been good, but Heady did pull off Hamilton's husky voice and "I'm 100 miles past done with these fucking robots and I've got a hundred miles to go" look.

I can understand all of them except Andromeda and Farscape. I don't recall realistic guns on those shows except Farscape when John is on Earth Fun fact Lexa Doig is married to Micheal Shanks IRL.

it would be an equivalent to 24th STS because its a top secret airforce program. It would just be an airforce special mission unit that had a selection. like any other special operations unit.

In the show they also had marine and army units that had their own teams.

yeah this. look up USGS moon survey. they literally trained fighter jocks for months how to spreg out on rocks until they did sperg out on rocks. also they only needed to get trained on how to collect a few hours worth of samples and identify outliers (eg. signs of life). Unless the gated planet has a significantly different environment, you might as well do the lab tests at home.

Does someone have that picture of her all taped up?

M-mommy..

Retardedly AWESOME maybe.
