Wut? The ME 262 had worse maneuverability than any fighter it flew against. Its advantage was its high speed and rate of climb, the A10 negates both these advantages. A P51 would have a better chance being able to turn fight it. Still it wouldn't be much of a fight

I brought up the 262 only because of its superior speed. It was one of the very few planes that could outpace the A10's never exceed speed from the era. I think it would be the only plane to actually have a chance, because a good pilot could at least try to run. Anyone else is getting BRRRT'd out of the sky.

Very good performance in all areas, not as dominant as a F-15 would be, but the A-10 has an advantage against every major plane with only some late war memeweapons standing a chance. Remember that boom and zoom won the war.

The combat radius is only 250 nmi. You can't use a one-way range when talking about WWII.

It could, but the advantage goes to the A-10 in maneuverability, I'd guess it can climb much better and retain more energy during maneuvers, it's engines won't melt after only a couple hours of normal use, and it's avionics+hydraulics give it's pilot much greater ease of control while it's also got a physical fly-by-wire backup system and exceedingly durable design. On top of that it's combat ceiling is 7000+ feet higher and it climbs 2100ft/m faster. It's TWR is .36 while the 262's is .28, and it's weapon would also be great against other aircraft, a short burst can spray out a large volume of shells with relative accuracy, the shells are high caliber (for an aircraft mounted gun), and relatively high velocity, double that of the Mk-108 30mm cannon equipped on standard ME-262's. That will give A-10's a significant range advantage and allow them to spend less time and energy correcting their shots, while also meaning their rounds will hit more than twice as hard which is relevant if you're using explosive or fragmenting ammunition, chunks of shell will hit much harder and tear through more of an aircraft traveling at 1010m/s as opposed to 540m/s. A-10s are also more aerodynamically stable and can continue to fly with enormous levels of damage so even if they're hit they have a much greater probability of being able to make it down without being completely destroyed, a good trait to have if you want to preserve well trained pilots.

Literally just make it one battle where the Axis and Allies both see him as an enemy and attack. Two rocket pods, four hellfires, and a fully loaded BRRRRT are all he has to defend himself as he ticks down to 3/4 fuel.

It would be glorious. Two straight hours of this dude fighting off everyone as he tries to explain the situation to the allies with the countdown to him falling out od the sky as the motivating action.
