Neither, spend money on nods and ammo

Attached: Ponyboy1.jpg (1280x748, 310K)

Ammo should come first.
Then nods->Peq->can
Optics are for losers.

Can->nods->Peq
Because can takes longest
Nods can be used for land nav so you get used to them without a peq
peq last because aiming is for losers

In the previous general I was recommend the following (links mine):
Aero Lower - aeroprecisionusa.com/ar15-stripped-lower-receiver-special-edition-dtom-anodized-black
CMMG lpk - cmmginc.com/product/lower-parts-kit-ar15-gun-builders-kit/
MBT trigger - larue.com/products/larue-tactical-mbt-2s-trigger/
BCM upper - bravocompanyusa.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=BCM-URG-MID-16 BFH

Comes out to $1036. Sound about right? Additions and subtractions?

It could be worse, you could be a manlet

Get a bcm charging handle if you want but you can save on your bolt by going toolcraft: armorally.com/shop/toolcraft-5-56-223-chrome-phosphate-bolt-carrier-group/?v=7516fd43adaa

>additions and subtractions
Dont forget a stock, buffer tube, buffer and a pistol grip. Also some way to aim the rifle is generally a good idea.

Attached: ImiAmmo.jpg (3024x4032, 1.42M)

Personally I'd go with the BCM upper with an MCMR instead of drop in. Pretty sure my BFH enhanced mid length MCMR was like mid 600s.

You're also missing a buffer tube, spring, buffer, and butt stock and pistol grip.

>amoral ly?

If you want a FSP stick with a carbine for maximum big dick energy. You can pick up a ras for cheap on the EE.
IF you’re going mid you may as well grab one with a low profile gas block.

If you priced it with the bcm bolt, you can save $60 and just get a toolcraft bolt, they are also g2g and like half the cost of the bcm

Alternatively complete aero lowers in basic bitch variety can be had for like $169 without a stock.
Which might be a better deal. Milspec triggers are alright.
That’s probably easier for your first maximum poverty build.

>bfh
Skip and just get their regular chrome lined barrel, knocks like $80 off the price

What is a good quality optic that won't ruin my aesthetics?

You've already ruined the aesthetics, so literally anything.

>scuffed Colt M4
no thank (only one thank)

>I think I have one of the better ARs
Thats cute
But ultimately, its the only opinion that matters

No I have a buddy with a FA AR. the FN doesn't move when I shoot but wasn't what I mean here is the first time I shot it last year.

Attached: ECHO2 paint.jpg (1920x1080, 842K)

In terms of gas discharge, how does adding a suppressor act any differently than having a barrel that's 10" longer with the same gas system? Doesn't the gas system act as if it was working with a longer barrel?
Would the easiest (easiest, not cheapest. Looking for easy here) way to deal with potential cycling problems be to get an adjustable gas block?

Yes
Thanks
? Ok
It really is I have to live with my gun not you and vice versa

Easiest would be to get a low backpressure can so there is little extra pressure to have to mitigate

Don’t buy a BCM upper. It’s overpriced due to the markings that mean nothing. Get an aero upper, Faxon or BA barrel for cheap, and finally a rail of your choosing. I recommend the mk8. It’s stronger than the MCMR but only a few ounces heavier. Plus I think it looks nicer

>Yes
When you stop caring you'll be free.

>Would the easiest (easiest, not cheapest. Looking for easy here) way to deal with potential cycling problems be to get an adjustable gas block?
Heavier buffer and RTV seal the ch
>No I have a buddy with a FA AR
And thats whats running 700 for you?
700 is fucking easymode

Also you should invest in better earpro

Attached: Lower.jpg (4032x2048, 2M)

>$1036 on aero shit
Just spend a couple hundred more and get the FN (grab a quote for less $).
grabagun.com/fn-fn15-tac-carbine-ii-556-30rd-16.html

Or complete BCM

grabagun.com/bcm-780-750-recce-14-mcmr-223-rfl.html

Colt
grabagun.com/colt-mfg-co-inc-le6940-carbine-5-56-16-1-20rd.html

Out of all of those, I'd pick the FN. You missed the brownell's deal to get a DD M4A1 clone for like $1200.

>Also you should invest in better earpro
I know I have better now they were not mine I forgot eyes and ears that day I bought dollar store sun glasses and someone gave me the red trash I had on.

Attached: Me wed 3 13.jpg (1080x1920, 604K)

>Just spend a couple hundred more and get the FN
IHave to agree

>Faxon or BA barrel

no thanks

This is dumb AF. You need to spend $ on tools to assemble. It doesn't have BCG or charging handle, and you get some ugly mutt rifle when you can buy factory for a little more, and it'll come with a warranty, and it won't look like some poorfag mutt JUST AS GOOD ash clone.

Decent deal.

Attached: FN15 Hodge Podge Rail.png (1306x388, 66K)

Complete BCM is overpriced. Their lowers are unremarkable but they charge a premium. Aero lower and BCM upper (which is good value) is the high IQ move

Price out an aero lower build with bcm upper for me. The complete gun is 1200.

>mk8 looks nicer than MCMR
wrong

$1300 for a carbine gas 16" isn't a good deal
Get that barrel and gas port to proper spec 14.5 and a KAC RAS kit and you have an extremely proven AR, but you're still paying a brand tax. 14.5" non-free float carbine upper isn't exactly mystery science these days, plenty of outfits can produce them to high quality standards

No the fuck that's not

Not sure if pretending to be retarded.
fnamerica.com/products/rifles/fn-15-tactical-ii/

Attached: FN_15_Tactical_Gen2_Carbine_Rotators_1-1800x825.jpg (1800x825, 111K)

Sure, quality barrel, meme rail that'll piss of the non-hodge owners

Just slap an MBT in there, throw on a new stock, and you're golden

so build an ash clone with no warranty and spend more money on tools to assemble it correctly, no thanks.

It's not a hodge rail. Hodge podge is 7075. FN licensed it from ZEV and it's 6061. Hodge didn't design the rail, the only input he had was "DUDE MAKE IT THINNER." The patent was awarded to the now defunt Mega and its engineers, not some faggot building vaporware in his garage.

bravocompanyusa.com/BCM-Standard-16-Mid-Length-ENHANCED-Light-Weight-p/bcm-urg-mid-16elw-kmr-a-15.htm
$608 no overpriced BCG
Toolcraft BCG $80 from a couple online vendors
Aero gen 2 stripped lower $90
bravocompanyusa.com/Stock-Hardware-Mounting-Kit-Mil-Spec-p/bcm-stock-hardware-kit.htm $58
Magpul and CTR stock is what, $30 these days? Bit more?
CMMG lpk cmmginc.com/product/lower-parts-kit-ar15/ $65

Would get you a very decent starter ar. Pick some irons with remaining budget and go

>He’s right you know.

I’d have suggested a factory rifle, but he said he wanted to build his own shit.

Fuck, not the KMR version of that upper. MCMR

>wanting a heavier, more prone to corrosion, and more likely to crack rail
6061 ZEV is even better

>keymod
LMAO

Why is no one mentioning DS Arms?

Attached: 1555612426548.jpg (1080x1080, 253K)

>wanting a heavier, more prone to corrosion, and more likely to crack rail
Where did I say I "want" such a rail? If you're not autistic, you can see I'm shitting on Hodge.
I'm not a fan of rails with a dogknot bulge anyway. They are uncomfortable for magwell grips.

#
Already fixed MCMR version is the same price

Because honestly dsa stuff is only slightly above psa
Better QC/QA but not great overall parts

Attached: vseven1.jpg (1581x890, 52K)

You know what. Fuck it. Just get an FAL like a real man.

>same price
bravocompanyusa.com/BCM-BFH-16-Mid-Length-Upper-MCMR-15-p/bcm-urg-mid-16-bfh-mcmr-15.htm
More like 80 more. You'd end up with a meme Aero lowered rifle for ~$1000 + $100 for tools needed to assemble when you can buy an FN for $150 more. No thx.

You picked the BFH version

>100 for tools needed to assemble
Nigger you don't need to spend $100 on needle nose pliers and a hex wrench set to put together a lower

But isn't that a good thing? Seems to me the gripe with PSA is their QC. Uppers being put together like a retard did it. Aren't the parts themselves fine?

Attached: variant_image_3161e8f5-ba61-41a3-85c6-9df0e90fdc2e.png (1200x1200, 1.31M)

Yeah, I bet you put the castle nut on by hand with a little bit of glue bubba. LUL.
STOP POSTING ASH

Wtf is BFH? I don't speak Buffoni. BCM is shit anyway. Why buy FN seconds when you can buy it direct.

>But isn't that a good thing?
It is, but you are quickly closing the cost gap between buying a bcm and buying a psa. DSA parts are okay tier. They make an awful smell when melting though.
cheaperthandirt.com/doublestar-ar-15-carbine-buffer-tube-castle-nut-wrench-steel-black-ar753n/FC-841348100485.html
>inb4 CTD autism
Just google for another $10 castle nut wrench

That wrench is like $15 bucks.
Stop being a nigger.

Good point, castle nut wrench is $10

BFH = CHF
Barrel, Forged Hammer

>not speaking Buffonese in 2019
Sad!

lotta non gunfighters itt

Attached: BUFFERONIBUX.jpg (3103x3831, 3.64M)

Ok, I think I get what you're saying. When you start running the gun, the DSA parts can't keep up.

So what makes it worse than say the parts in a BCM or Colt? Poorer metals?

Attached: 19bda9892dfadc9f9aef9ef001714533.jpg (895x1280, 197K)

Price out all the tools one would need. Make sure to include shipping if from multiple vendors. Don't forget, he'll need a vice if he doesn't have one. He'll also need a lower block to torque the castle nut. He'll need a torque wrench for proper torque. He'll need a center punch for staking.
$100 is a conservative number.
Meanwhile, just buy a factory rifle for a negligible amount more. Either the FN or BCM I listed are fine.

Imagine having worse finish and QC than Colt. That's PSA for you.

Why should I geissele ch?

>When you start running the gun, the DSA parts can't keep up.
No, they will. Its just the surface finish is cancerous like PSA products where the phopshate and anodizing is very thick and parts tend to rub. Ive ran DSA uppers auto before no major problems.
>So what makes it worse than say the parts in a BCM
Less QA/QC
More mystery meat suppliers
Barrel profiles are mostly memes
>Colt
Less pedigree but colt posting is mostly a meme these days.

Props to DSA for some of their Ti parts and their sandcutter clone though, those are neat bits.
>Vise
>lower block
Just lift something heavier than a dick and you can do this by hand
>staking
A harbor freight auto center punch is a whopping $4
>torque wrench
>complete upper
Come on dude you are reaching

Attached: HamburgerLand.jpg (2184x2912, 2.24M)

Why the fuck did he make up a fucking term that has retarded word Yoda order when CHF is an established one?
It sounds like something Gordon Ramsey would say if he made a barrel. Barrel, Nice, Hot.

>Vise
>lower block
>Just lift something heavier than a dick and you can do this by hand
>>staking
>A harbor freight auto center punch is a whopping $4

>Come on dude you are reaching
Wow A2 is WGWS and Ash posting.

Its part of the military larp terms that BCM likes
>Specifications: Barrel, Forged, Hammer (BFH)
Indeed Im actually Ash, WGWS, Scaranon and Sigbro at once

Attached: gimag.jpg (559x879, 38K)

Because he can

>ndeed Im actually Ash, WGWS, Scaranon and Sigbro at once
Yeah. Since you don't torque your castle nuts to spec. Just get it JUST AS TIGHT by sitting on it and wrenching.
I can't believe you're advocating bubba ghetto AR building, when a better complete rifle is ~$100 more with better parts and a warranty.
All that good will built up in the last few weeks of reasonable posting... lost.
Your opinions are now

I forgot to add AGAIN. Your opinions are trash AGAIN.
