"Peak SMG" could be used for basically any SMG designed between 1945 and 1960. Lessons in design, materials, logistics were all learned by 1945 and battle rifles hadn't had their complete brakethrough yet.
Here is Another peak SMG, and after being modified based on Congo experince it had more powerful 9mm ammo than all the others of the period.
