I wouldn't recommend a 16 inch barrel for 300blk, as the cartridge was designed to get complete powder burn in a 9" barrel. You can get a 16, which may get you more velocity, but honestly 300blk best left to SBRs and AR "Pistols".

Otherwise, PSA is decent and Aero is also okay. It doesn't really matter what lower you build on.

The same couple guys that developed the carcal developed the sig 516 and developed the 416. They just keep going from company to company making a slightly lower quality product.

Do a SR15 if you want a really nice DI gun
Do a PWS if you MUST have piston and refuse to pay the HK tax. Dont bother with the MR556.

It would basically be the same rifle. Obviously there are a couple small changes but the issues with the 416 are not corrected on the 816 or any piston AR. If your goal is a nice piston platform that departs from 416/norm you should get a SCAR16.

Ordering an upper without a BCG or CH really isn't that big of a deal either. BCGs come assembled and you just slide them in with the charging handle

It is a legit good gun, It is SBR'd which while that doesn't make it impossible to sell, makes it more difficult. It also looks like they might end up being rarer down the road.

Other than Elcan complaints it wasn't bad. Prefer to have a vertical grip. Can't get vertical grip on there without stupid factory lower pic rail thing which makes the forend fucking TALL.
