How do recruiters even find people? Are they doing telemarketing or are they handing out fliers in the street?

Lurking in high schools.

Objectively based

this pretty much
taking the ASVAB was more-or-less mandatory in my high school and you can bet they followed up with everyone who scored well on it

They have required amounts of calls to make. Once they're done with that they hit the streets and ask random people, go to football games/sport events, shooting ranges, etc.

>2006

>Iraq in full swing
>interested in jumping out of planes and whacking brown people.
>internet does not have many resources for mos info.
>go to recruiter
>user, before we can talk about jobs, you gotta take an asvab.
>alright user, you got an 85. Before we can talk about jobs, you gotta go to meps for a physical.
>finish physical
>meps clerk says, alright, have a seat, we'll call you up to sign a contract.
>wut?
>no one mentioned contract signing
>recruiter comes out
>look bro, it's not a big deal, we just need you to sign an mos, we can change it later no problem, we're just getting you on the books. We'll pick pick out a different mos later.
>sarge, if you're trying to trick me into signing an infantry contract..
>bro, we're not even taking infantry right now, there's a two year hold on that job. We've got too many people wanting that job.
>not even Ranger contracts?
>bro, we're not even doing those anymore
>you're full of shit sarge, I'm done.
>spend three hours being called a coward by everyone in meps.
>go home
>join air force
>do SERE shit instead

Cold calls are done in the evening when people are home. Once you have a decent network going you don’t have time for any of that shit. Processing applicants, keeping track of future soldiers, corresponding with influencers, attending job fairs, etc. Usually the only time we chatted with randos off the street was when we went out for lunch.

recruiters are slimey dick bags lmao

My nigga

DELETE THIS

Stay mad ZOG

Not gonna lie I want to transfer over to recruiter and lie to young impressionable retards for pay

I like seeing the smoke come through the fun when I make recruiters mathematically explain how I would benefit from the military as a married man with a 250K house paid off and an 80k salary.
"Well you could be special forces..."
Thanks hoss I'll mull that one over as I stroll through my property.

>Through the phone
Based phonepost redacting itself

are you retarded? in what world would anyone of that demographic even encounter recruiters?

I joined the army national guard in 2004 but my recruiter went AWOL half way through my in processing and I aksidently almost didn't join because nobody contacted me to do anything for about a month

oof

Don't really have anything to hate on desu. The recruiters were all really nice and accommodating. If you know what you want and stand your ground there's nothing they can do and they know that. Anyone who hates a recruiter is probably some retard who got suckered into a 6 year 92S contact.

I walked in and told them what I wanted. Then I shipped out 2 weeks later. 9 years and 2 deployments later I still haven't died for Israel lol

First one was a cunt she sneered at my colored past even though it was crime free, didnt even follow up after i had to get and assload of medical data from previous surgeries on my eye, gave up tried again 2 Years later
Different recruiter streamlined my application as best he could and i got the placement i wanted pretty quickly.
All in all 2nd time was great and im still enjoying this slog 10 years later

>2004
>recruiter goes AWOL
I believe it.
Recruiting is a pretty shitty gig in general, but then you had Iraq bogging down further and further into quagmire, and the media doing everything they could to make the military look awful because lol, Bush is a nazi.
A lot of recruiters had drug problems during those years.

>aksidently
Army turd confirmed.

Military recruiters are some of the biggest scumbags alive. They're the car salesmen for your soul.

Attached: 1557827436143.jpg (670x489, 76K)

Its typically 4 active, 2 IRR. 6 total. That's a normal contract. You don't do shit during IRR unless called back, deploy, or decide not to go IRR and stay active.

Reserve components typically offer 6 years active reserve and 2 years IRR for 8 total.

Recruiter was giving you valid facts. Look into it more.

>mfw waiting to make it past the enlisted recruiters and into my first meeting with the actual officer recruiter for the region
>they keep trying to shill me into enlisted nuke or crytography
>3.6 GPA isn't "what we're looking for" t. E-4

I hope everyone in this thread joins and gets selected for recruiting duty. It’s a thankless job and almost everyone hates you.

post your ccw or bicep

You're SERE? What class? I'm in indoc for a different afsc

wew, i sure hope you pay your own mortgage or rent if you're talking that kind of woke shit

what’s wrong with nuke, it’s just 6 years and then most nukes say you can get a pretty good job as a civvie afterwards

Based af

Weird. In 2006 i was 3 years out of highschool. I had aborted enlisting after getting tired of being dicked around.
In 06 i was getting phone calls every week from the Marines, wanting me to come down and hang out and play football (wtf) and get back in the enlistment process and they said i could have any job i want. Similar ASVAB score, somewhere in the 80s which isnt top but its pretty decent.
I told them no thanks, because by that time i had a steady GF and was getting my dick wet every night and living my life and enjoying it.
Kinda regret it but whatever, it happened.
Some recruiters are ok, some are scum.

*aborted enlisting in 03, right as we invaded Iraq

Woah, that was based

Actually, that was based

AND

redpilled?

I am astonished. How could this man possibly be both based and redpilled? Truly, this is incredible.

lol fucking scumbags were trying to get you to work check points. fucking worst shit there ever was, no control whether you were gonna get blown up by a vbied or not. rest in peace to all those poor dudes

We've got plenty of retards in commissioning programs already, we don't need any more

DO NOT GO NUKE. Don't fucking do it. It isn't worth the bullshit. You get the same pay as everyone else in your grade for 11x the bullshit. If enlisting, go airforce something technical, if coming out of college, go officer and do not go subs because you'll have to do nuke shit but everything is your fault because you're the dude in charge of a division.

You're not the target demo for enlisted recruitment

Transfer to recruiter if your goal is to fuck highschoolers and get kicked out of your respective service

>Join the Navy on '08 right as the crash was happening. They want me to be a Nuke because 97 ASVAB.
>Going through MEPS, told that while I did have my citizenship, I didn't have it for long enough to get TS clearance. Basically not American enough.
>Tempted to leave, but was asked what other rates I'd be interested in. Tell him I figure medical is knowledge I'd want for life.
>Do the next 8 years as a Corpsman, spending more time with Marines than any Navy.
>Get out and find that none of my medical training counts for shit in the civilian world.
>Spend two years going through piss easy classes to get credentials. Have a 4.0GPA
>Get rejected for a Rad Tech Program because "We think you aren't compatible with our course because you still have too much of a military mindset"

TLDR, do your research and find a rate that will give you civilian credentials.
Never trust anything a recruiter says.

"We think you aren't compatible with our course because you still have too much of a military mindset"
lol wtf

absolutely based.

>join as information specialist in navy
>lose my r8 cuz cant get my ts clearance
>pick dumbo engineering rate in boot camp
Four years later and the day I get out can't come fast enough

Nuke's for nerds so sandbag the ASVAB and tell them you want to be a gunner's mate or steelworker.

I guess it's the age range, I am kind of young for that demographic. But I get random calls from the Army and Marines all the fuckin time. It's a blast putting retarded zogbots through logic exercises.

Then fucking tell them to stop calling/texting me at all hours of the day
"Hey bro, have you ever considered a career in the marines?"

Attached: 1561827500964.jpg (732x1024, 124K)

you have to deal with 24 hr days every 3 days, and all the other retarded bullshit that comes with having such a responsibility

you sound like quite the faggot.
they're just doing their jobs and going down a list they're given. They HAVE to make those calls and texts. they don't actually give a fuck if you join if you would just politely say you're not interested and not respond.

fuck i meant to add.
I had recruiters call and text me 3 years into my enlistment. i told them i was already enlisted and they said either some moto bullshit or apologized. then we went on with our days.

lmao @ this miliCOPE
Enjoy your VA hospital waits, blown knees, Dodge Charger at 35% interest, and a fat bitch that cheats on you every chance she gets.

Why couldn't you get your clearance?

That's what every faggot says. You only make their penises harder talking like that.

>Why are they so annoying?
they have a job to do and those assholes at recruiting command can make their life miserable if they don't produce
>How do you get the Navy guys to stop bugging you about nuke?
shortage rate with kids flunking out or trying to kill themselves, again top driven, get us bodies for Nuke rate is the daily message, I heard the recruiters also get a bonus if they ship someone for Nuke
Story tiem, my friend and her husband (voluntarily) went of recruiting duty, bother were SSG at the time (E6). She left recruiting duty 2 years later with a meritorious, despite the fact that she was overweight and on a permanent no running profile. He left recruiting duty as a E4 for fucking some 18 y/o girl. She went back to using her maiden name and divorced his ass.
Fastest way to end your career is to go on recruiting duty.

Wew hardest i've laughed in a while

SPBP

>found out recently I'm going to be a recruiter

JUST FUCK MY WHOLE SHIT UP FAMILY

Attached: t2i6z.jpg (540x540, 46K)

This and community colleges

Lol and they’ll take anyone when their quota is up, I could run and hike for days and do 25 pull ups like it’s cool but I was an academic retard (got 36 on the ASVAB). I took it again and went up to 44, they just slapped an infantry contract on me and called it a day until I decided I wanted to leave sooner, then it was tanks. Then when I finally went to MCT they changed it to AAVs and that was that, literally nothing the recruiter told me happened except that things might suck.

don't even try to fail the school. had a friend go and the first thing they were told was failure was not an option. you could try to fail your psych eval , but that could backfire in other ways

Dearest fegge boys, I joined in 1989 went into the United States Navy Active duty Saw the world. humped lots of Asian chicks Got honorable discharge got out went to college Navy paid for college got married had kids. looking back It was all worth it. I did not go to war. for those of you have not served you are faggots of the 15th tier and need dragon dildos for plesaure

Genuine question. No BS.

Is Navy the best branch to find a bottom husband in?

Jesus, just having a pulse will get you 40.

>They HAVE to make those calls
>How else will they receive welfare and learn how to be a productive member of society
Yeah good point, well i try to make them do a little math at least every time

Nice

Attached: G0012358.jpg (4000x3000, 2.85M)

Just be a nuke faggot. Shit was dumb easy, just don't be a retard.

most dudes are flip-fuckers or switches my guy, i speak from experience, but i'm not that gay anymore, i'm more bi leaning towards women now.

You don't know what you're talking about. Army contracts are all over the fucking place, and IRR lasts until you've done 8 total.

>flip-fuckers
>flip-fuckers
>flip-fuckers

WTF is that? A Filipino fucking fetish?

The officer naturally attracts the retarded - I'll fit right in.

Invalidated from Subs due to a history of kidney stones (dehydration, not kidney failure, but anyway).

Not my first time down the rodeo this decade but, hopefully, it'll be my last.

Got any dope on interesting officer contracts that a nearly blind man can qualify for? Airchad is out.

Kek, there's always this fucking guy trying to refute the audience.

You're the reason I still come here user, keep on keeping on

Attached: 1561733143779.gif (500x282, 458K)

i heard if you just pick C you can get a 60 on the ASVAB

THIS POST IS ANTISEMETIC! We dont tolerate hate

Yes, there are those of us who can do that here in the real world.

You know, the one where you have to pick what to wear everyday to work? And create something of value to the market instead of sitting on your ass until you get your pension and claim PTSD for that sweet 30%?

you type like a boomer

sorry for your loss
thank you for your service
also what the FUCK did you think was going to happen when you reenlisted? that they wouldn't pull some shit like this?

no really they get fucked into being recruiters, they have to make an effort to get people in or they get fucked raw, majority of them have to serve so much time as a recruiter before they can go back to their normal mos and forget those horrid times.

thank you for your service

I got called today by a navy recruiter that stopped by my highschool my senior year (I'm a college freshman) and he tried to convince me to join the Navy again. I told him I'm going into politics to purge the Neo-Communist Cultural Marxist influences from the United States and after 5 mins of me spouting this he said "You've convinced me about you not being a good fit for the Navy." and instantly hung up.

and then no one clapped because no one cared

i believe you because they have a ship named after that bitch who got shot in the head

"-my dog ate my homework."

“You seem too willing to work and get things done. We’re trying to do jack shit everyday and you’d just make the rest of us look bad.”

but I joined the Air Force instead.

I was going to enlist in the army when I was 18. Dealt with a recruiter, was about to go to meps and I decided I wanted to go to college instead. No regrets.
One of the things I didn't like about my recruiters is that they tried to sell it to me by listing off the benifits like I'm signing up for a YMCA membership. It felt kinda lame because I knew the benefits probably weren't worth it and I didn't care.

Absolutely based

Attached: 1560858048824.jpg (1024x718, 200K)

It's just as shitty and thankless while you're in as every other high-skill, low-density position because the people in charge of you don't understand the reality of the task and hold unreasonable expectations.
Once you're out, you have an opportunity for a well paying job (nuclear facilities prefer Navy nukes to college nukes), but your employer will abuse your bullshit tolerance because they know veterans are used to being treated like shit. They have the same unreasonable expectations as your officers did. Half the time they're just as uninformed, the other half know better but decide to be assholes anyway.
While the civilian pay is good, you're geographically restricted. There just aren't that many nuclear plants, because politics successfully shilled that nuclear power is extremely dangerous and unclean (lmao). Your employer will constantly push to save money by not paying you (cutting overtime pay, cutting per diam, etc) and you'll travel between plants like an overworked athlete, trading for the best contract every few years.
Both my dad and my brother were Navy nukes. Watched the civilian side wear down and destroy my dad, watching it all over again now that my brother is out. Fuck that. Picked a job I actually enjoyed and had a way better time.

What's a better high skill position to be in.

Whatever you enjoy.
Realize that the military is going to treat you like slave labor regardless, and the only happiness you will find in it is within you.
If you genuinely enjoy nuke work (after doing some research to learn what that really means), go for it. If you'd rather kick in doors or handle artillery, do that. You're going to come out the other side with the GI Bill anyway, so it's not like you're married to the civilian prospects of your military occupation.

Personally, I went with 35T (Army, Military Intelligence Maintainer/Integrator). I had a background in system admin already and knew it was something I was good at (which is a big component of enjoying your job), as well enjoying troubleshooting equipment in general.
Came out with a lot of civilian certifications and high desirability for government contractor work on those same systems, but I'm taking the GI Bill and retraining instead. I enjoyed the work, but did not enjoy working for the government. While I would do it all over again if you sent me back in time, I would never have re-upped. Fuck the government.

Das right

>Be me at 18 "Dad, I want to join the Marines.
>WW2 USMC dad:No, your going to college then MBA.
> FF ~30 years, have nice farm, 1st wife, fun kids, and great, interesting career and did not die for the jew in Iraq. Thanks Dad!

Its you who doesn't know what they are talking about. Did 9 years myself, best friend a recruiter too. Here's a quote right off military.com

"Most first-term enlistments require a commitment to four yearsactiveand two years inactive (IRR)."

Are there variations? Sure. But for the vast majority of new, first time in soldiers, active branches will primarily only offer 4/2 contracts, and reserve components offering 6/2 for the bulk majority.

The two year contracts *some* branches have offered are not common. The two year contract is the only "4" year contract offering as its 2 years active 2 IRR. That started a few years ago but isn't the typical offering.

I think you should do some research on military contracts and IRR time lengths. I guarantee, you're mistaken.
