Thoughts on building a 7.5in ar that will be suppresed as a cqc rifle? I don't get why 7.5in gets hate when you'll mostly be close quarters anyway why would you have to worry about muzzle velocity. Also why isn't there a fucking sticky, is it because everyone here calls eachothers builds shit no matter who makes the parts?

Anything past 50 yards will terrible terminal ballistics, so if you absolutley 100% will never ever ever need to kill something that weighs more than 30lbs past 50 yards, then sure, go for it, you also have to contend with shitty dwell times so you will have a blast making sure it cycles properly

because a design concept can be good while needing a better and more modern execution. What everyone learned from the AR18 is a stoner bolt with an external piston works great and gets rid of some of the "problems" of the internal piston system. Nobody wants to seriously fucking use an AR18 as it was designed and manufactured dedcades ago.

Thats like arguing that because with the ditching of the browning tilting barrel (1911) and adoption of the underbarrel locking block we shouldve just gone with P38s instead of Beretta 92s.
