50-200 zero is what I have used for a few years. Your point of aim will be good out to around 300 on a human sized target.

25 yard zero should be pretty close to 300 yard zero

ok. one more question. How interchangeable are lower receivers for the newer and older models? If i have an old Colt sp1, do i have to have a lower made specifically for that model or can i buy something newer and slap it on? i am trying to find replacement parts for that exact model but so far i am not having much luck.

Takedown pins will probably be fine, something to watch out for on old Colt Sporters is the trigger pins. They made them oversized for a while to be good little cucks to AWB. You can still get parts for those though. I thjnk even Geissele has large pin versions of some of their triggers

EOTech is one of the best optics ICW NV. Otherwise there are better choices, unless you are hunting for an aesthetic.
